his study was conducted to evaluate the effect of use various traditional oil sources (soybean oil (SO) or palm oil (PO)) and untraditional fat sources (short-chain fatty acids (FA) or distillated fatty acids (DFA)) in Japanese quail diets compared with control diets (without any fats source) on productive performance, slaughter and carcass traits, breast meat quality and blood parameters. Thus, each experiment investigated four fats by substituting them into a basal diet at the expense of the energy-yielding ingredients. At 7-day of age, 300 unsexed, Japanese quails were divided into 5 groups (60 quails each). Each group contained 3 replicates of 20 quails each. Five dietary treatments were distributed according to diets fed to quails consecutively during starter, grower and finisher phases. The experimental groups were: Basal diet without any fats (Control), Basal diet containing soybean oil as a fat sources (T1), palm oil (T2), fatty acids (T3) and distillated fatty acids (T4). The obtained result in this study revealed that 1 .There were no significant differences among all groups in live body weight (LBW) and body weight gain (BWG), feed consumption (FC) and Feed conversion ratio (FCR) values during starter, grower, finisher or overall periods, Except starter FC of (T2) group. 2 .Values of Energy conversion ratio (ECR), Protein conversion ratio (PCR), performance index (PI) and production efficiency factor (PEF) showed that all experimental groups are significantly similar to the control group. quails fed (T1) diet had better protein conversion ratio (PCR) but (T2) was the lowest values. 3 .Quails fed (T4) which fed Distillated fatty acids obtained the highest values on percentage of carcass, liver, heart, giblets and weight of edible parts. Otherwise, No significant differences among all experimental groups in weight of bursa and spleen. 4. Quails fed (T4) diet had the highest percentages of breast meat moisture and saturated fatty acid values. While quails fed control diets, had the highest water holding capacity (WHC) and unsaturated fatty acid values. 5 .No significant differences among all experimental groups in plasma total protein, albumin, globulin, total cholesterol, HDL, calcium or phosphorus, while plasma AST, ALT or LDL, was superior with quails fed (T4) diets. It could be recommended from this study to supplement 1,2 and 3% distillated fatty acids to quail diets in age up to 42 days for improve carcass characteristics and fatty acid profile of breast meat .

The study investigated the effect of enzymes as a toxin detoxifier (DETOXIZYME) dietary supplementation on performance during growth, blood chemistry, and immunity under clostridia infection in chickens. A total of 480, day-old male chicks were randomly distributed to four groups, with six replicates of 20 birds each. The first control negative treatment (A) fed the basal formula as commercial feed prepared following the strain's needs, the second control positive group (B) fed the basal formula challenged with Clostridium perfringens (C. perfringens) type A, the third group (C) fed the basal formula with 100 g DETOXIZYME/ton of feed and challenged with clostridia, and the fourth group (D) fed the control basal formula with 100 g DETOXIZYME/ton of feed. DETOXIZYME dietary supplementation significantly boosted body weight (BW), body weight gain (BWG), feed intake (FI), and European production efficiency factor (EPEF) and improved the feed conversion rate (FCR) of the broilers. The dietary supplementation of DETOXIZYME significantly increased carcass trait and spleen. However, liver and abdominal fat weight significantly decreased compared with clostridia-challenged groups. The values of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), uric acid, creatinine, and Malondialdehyde (MDA) were decreased. While calcium, phosphate, zinc, and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) levels were improved in birds that took basal formulas fortified with DETOXIZYME contrary to the other treatment groups during 35 days of age. Plasma total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) values were reduced versus the other treatment groups. Dietary supplementation of DETOXIZYME increased total protein, albumin, globulin, and Newcastle Disease (ND) immunity titer levels in the overall period compared to other groups. Dietary DETOXIZYME supplementation decreased clostridia and E. coli bacteria counts and improved gut morphometry. In conclusion, dietary supplementation of DETOXIZYME had a positive impact on performance, blood biochemistry, immunity, and bacterial counts and improved the gut morphology in broilers under clostridia infection.

total number of 210 one-day old Cobb 500 broiler chicks, were reared up to 35 days of age, as they were distributed into factorial design of two natural feed additives the first one was bee propolis (BPr) while the second was bee pollen (BP) with three supplementation levels (0.05, 0.10 and 0.20%), as compared with control group (0.0% feed additives). The study aimed to examine these additives with different levels and their interaction on growth performance, carcass characteristics and carcass parts of broiler chickens. The results indicated that, natural feed additives (BPr and BP) did not significantly affect final live body weight (LBW), body weight gain (BWG), feed consumption (FC), feed conversion ratio (FCR), performance index (PI), European production efficiency factor (EPEF), energy conversion ratios (ECR) and protein conversion ratios (PCR). Wheaese, levels of supplementation and their interaction, significantly affected LBW, BWG, FCR, PI and EPEF. Concerning carcass characteristics % (carcass, giblets and total edible parts) and carcass parts % (breast, thigh, drumstick and wing) , data showed insignificant figures when chicks fed different feed additives with different levels and their interaction. Based on the experimental results, it is concluded that supplementing broiler chick diets with (BPr or BP) with different levels (0.05, 0.10 or 0.20%) could a good approach to improve production performance without negative effects on carcass characteristics or carcass parts percentages.

The objective of the work was to investigate the response of broiler chicks to supplementing guanidine acetic acid (GAA) in diets with different protein levels on performance and carcass characteristics. A total number of 360 one day old of male Hubbard broiler chicks were weighted and divided into sex dietary treatments of 60 chicks each with 6 replicates (10 chicks each), in 2 x 3 factorial design as follows:T 1 standard diets without feed additives (SD), T 2 SD (T 1 diets) + 0.06% (GAA) T 3 SD (T 1 diets) + 0.12% (GAA), T 4 Tested diets (-2% CP) without feed additives (TD), T 5 TD (T 4 diets) + 0.06% (GAA), T 6 TD (T 4 diets) + 0.12% (GAA).The results indicated that:-Productive performance of broiler chicks including live body weight: Body weight gain, feed conversion ration, performance index, production efficiency factor, protein conversion ratio and energy conversion ratio were significantly affected by feed additives (GAA) and levels of crude protein at experimental period (1-35 days) of age. Feed intake recorded insignificant response due to experimental factors (feed additive or protein level). -Carcass characteristics: Dietary treatments with different (GAA) levels (0, 0.06 and 0.12%) or different protein levels had no significant effect on most studied parameters. It may be concluded that broiler diets containing -2% crude protein + 1200 g GAA/ ton or standard diets + 600 g GAA/ton would be reason for achievement of maximum performance without adverse effect on carcass parameters.

n experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects feeding broiler chicks on corn soybean meal diets supplemented with bee honey (BH), bee pollen (BP) or both as alternative to antibiotics erythromycin (ER) on growth performance, tibia characteristics and some blood plasma parameters. A total of number 150 one-day old chicks of (Cobb) strain were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments (5 treatments x 3 replicate groups x 10 chicks in each group). The treatments were: control without supplementation; T1 (ER) 0.0275%; T2 (BH) 0.10%; T3, (BP) 0.05% and T4 (BH, 0.10% + BP 0.05). The main results showed significant effect on body weight, body weight gain and performance index. On contrary there were no significant effect on feed consumption and feed conversion ratio within treatments. The results showed no significant effect on tibia measurements tibia weight (wet and dry), tibia (width and length) and tibia seeder index while there was significant effect on tibia breaking strength, As most of measured parameters there were no significant effect on tibia chemical composition (ASH and P) except (Ca) between treatments.
