Objective: To understand the needs, expectations, and care production of people in street situations. Method: This is a qualitative study based on social phenomenology, conducted with eight people in street situations. Data were collected through a phenomenological interview from September to December, 2016. Results: The needs of participants refer to survival and access to health services. Care production involves physico-biological, spiritual, and affective-social aspects. The expectations of these people involve a desire for health care that considers their singularities and offers them social apparatuses. Final considerations: This study has contributions to the practice, training on health, and nursing in collective health, regarding care planning and provision to the population in street situations based on their expectations and lifestyles, considered as tools to help fulfill the health needs of this social group.

Studies carried out with HP on the use of alcohol and other drugs indicate that this behavior is an alternative for street survival (7,(35)(36)(37) . The words "good relations" were the third most evoked, revealing the need to avoid confusion, not to fight, know what to see and what to speak on the streets, as well as to define who to hang around with, thus protecting themselves from situations of violence and/or trouble.…”

Objectives: To capture and analyze the structure of homeless people's social representations about self-care. Methods: Research based on the theory of social representations, with 122 people in street situation. A semistructured questionnaire and free evocation technique were applied with the inducing words "caring for myself is". The evocations were processed by the software Evoc and Iramuteq, allowing to identify central and peripheral elements and the connection between them. Results: For the group studied, "feeding oneself, personal hygiene, protecting oneself and visiting the doctor" are actions and attitudes that represent caring for themselves. In the streets, "feeding oneself" is an essential action for living/surviving that underpins the others. Final considerations: Despite behaviors based on the biomedical model, self-care was represented by extended actions to meet basic human needs. This study offers elements of reflection to rethink care practices developed by health professionals. RESUMOObjetivo: apresentar as experiências vividas por uma enfermeira no exercício de suas funções numa equipe de Consultório na Rua. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, tipo relato de experiência, acerca das vivências de uma enfermeira ao atuar em uma equipe de Consultório na Rua. Resultados: vivenciaram-se situações de discriminação da população em situação de rua pela sociedade, incluindo profissionais de saúde, dificuldades de acesso à Rede de Atenção à Saúde por pessoas em situações de rua, injustiças sociais e lacunas entre as políticas públicas existentes e a sua aplicação na prática. Conclusão: evidenciou-se que a atuação da enfermeira no Consultório na Rua submerge a reflexão sobre os determinantes sociais da saúde presentes na população em situação de rua. Necessita-se, face às fragilidades referidas, de investimentos em educação permanente dos profissionais, da efetivação das políticas públicas existentes, do empoderamento do usuário para o exercício da cidadania e de investimentos em estudos nesta área do cuidado. Conclusion: it was evidenced that the nurse's role in the Street Office submerges the reflection on the social determinants of health present in the street population. It is necessary, given the weaknesses mentioned, of investments in the permanent education of professionals, the implementation of existing public policies, the empowerment of the user to exercise citizenship and investments in studies in this area of care.
