Synthesis and Biological Screening of the Gold Complex as Anticancer and Some Transition Metal Complexes with New Heterocyclic Ligand Derived from 4-Amino Antipyrine

Abstract: A new azo Schiff-base ligand, (N 1 Z,N 2 Z)-N 1 ,N 2-bis(4-((Z)4-hydroxy naphthalen-1-yl)diazenyl)-(1,5-dimethy-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-ylidene) benzene-1,2-diamine, has been synthesized from coupling (N 1 Z,N 2 Z)-N 1 ,N 2-bis(4-amino-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-ylidene)benzene-1,2-diamine with 1-naphthol. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1 H-NMR), carbon nuclear magnetic resonance (13 C-NMR) technique, ultravioletvisible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), ma… Show more

“…Schiff base derived from a heterocyclic ring with carbonyl compounds is one of the important special center of attraction in many biological, clinical, medicinal and pharmacological field . 4‐Aminoantipyrine based heterocyclic had a great importance as it is abundant in nature and several derivatives of antipyrine have a wide activity as analgesic, anti‐inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer activity . It also has been used for the protection against oxidative stress as well as prophylactic of some diseases including cancer and these are important directions in medical applications.…”

“…Moreover, this increases the non-concentration of π-electron over the entire ring of chelate and reinforces the penetration of the complex into lipid membranes and closing of the metal binding locations in the microorganisms enzymes. Also, the Au(III) complex impede the cell's respiration process and thus prevent the proteins synthesis, which restrains further the organism growth (30)(31)(32) .…”

“…On the other hand, reactivity of the cyclic ketonic group have also been utilized to couple with various amine derivatives to obtain the compounds of interesting ligational behaviour. Further these derivatives have been used as ligands to develop versatile transition metal complexes possessing potential biological applications, such as, anti-inflammatory [ 6 ], anticonvulsant [ 7 ], cytotoxic [ 8 ], superoxide dismutase (SOD) [ 9 ], antidiabetic [ 10 ] activities, etc.…”
