This paper uses the context of the Commonwealth in order to focus on a specifi c dimension of tourism that is located within it, that of the mega allCommonwealth event, the Commonwealth Games, and its impact in tourism terms. Sports events and tourism are closely linked and it is abundantly clear that the tourism potential of mega sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games is a major factor in encouraging cities to bid to host such events. Such tourism potential relates to the immediate attraction of the event to athletes and offi cials associated with the event, volunteers and paid employees who work at the event and, in particular, international and domestic visitors as games spectators and participants. This paper sets the Commonwealth Games in the wider context of sports tourism and will address their impact through consideration of the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.

Decision-making by golf tourists in determining Bandung and its surroundings as a golf tourism destination is influenced by push factors that are intrinsic motivators. This article is a study to find out more about motivation of golfer in choosing Bandung and its surroundings as a golf tourism destination which is the area of research study, namely Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course, Mountain View Golf Club, and Bandung Giri Gahana Golf & Resort. This verification research with descriptive-correlational method is done by using concurrent mix approach. Data analysis was performed using Statistics Package for Social Science (SPSS, Ver.23). Exploratory factor analysis is used to determine the level of correlation or relationship between variables within a factor in attribute motivation. Principal component analysis is used to determine the factor-forming variables in attribute motivation. Confirmatory factor analysis is used to confirm the results of this research analysis with previous research results which is a reference in this study. The principal component analysis yields 4 factors in motivation attributes, namely Relaxation and Togetherness, Destination Prestige, Benefits, and Business Opportunities. Previous research instruments are used in this study but the results of research in a study site cannot be generalized with other study sites.

“…The "Integrated Bicycle Path Network Construction Plan" in 2012, promoted by the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education (Sports Administration Ministry of Education, 2012), points out that in response to the growing popularity of leisure sports, the National Development Council has followed the guidance of the "Economic Revitalization Project with Investment Expansion (NT500 Billions in 4 Years) in Public Works" to construct the around-the-island bicycle paths by establishing interconnected regional networks. Through the subsidies of the "Integrated Bicycle Path Network Construction Plan" to the local governments from 2012 to 2016, highquality bicycle paths fitted with local terrains are constructed in order to meet the demands in leisure activities and sports (Maier and Weber, 1993). The plan attests to the government's proactive promotion in the cycling sport.…”

Behavioral Model of Middle-Aged and Seniors for Bicycle Tourism

This research centers on the behavioral tendency of the middle-aged and seniors in bicycle tourism at environmentally protected scenic areas and its relevant influence factors. The theory of planned behavior (TPB) is adopted as the basis of this study. The middle-aged and seniors are the subjects of this research. A questionnaire survey is conducted at environmentally protected national scenic areas in Taiwan. A total of 230 samples are drawn with a random sampling method, and 210 are valid. The findings indicate two things. First, when applying the TPB to different fields of the study, the level of predictability may vary. Another finding is that subjective norm shows a higher level of susceptibility to sport habit and predictability to behavioral intention than the other two constructs. With an empirical analysis, the study is able to provide middle-aged and senior participants and sport administration authorities with relevant suggestions for reference at the end of this paper.
