The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the management of learning in universities. Face-to-face learning has shifted to online-based learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online-based learning in higher education in terms of aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation, constraints and strategies towards new habits. The research method used quantitative-qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques used interviews and open-closed questionnaires, the results of which were processed qualitatively by using Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis model and quantitative data analysis using mean, categorization and percentage calculations. The population of this study was 1,117 students, while the sample was taken randomly as many as 366 people. Interviews were conducted on 9 lecturers. The results of this study indicate that 1) planning, implementation and evaluation of online based learning get an assessment with a good category, 2) online based learning obstacles can be overcome with a blended learning model strategy, practical courses are carried out face-to-face, choosing materials and courses online, online learning is done through virtual face-to-face, attitude assessment using various instruments, and lecturers giving assignments according to the number of credits for the course. Thus, online based learning in higher education needs to be improved through blended learning models, face-to-face practical courses, attitude assessment instruments with various alternatives, selection of materials and courses online or offline and assignments according to the number of credits.

The purpose of this study is to describe the process and student responses to Islamic Cultural History learning using multiple methods during the covid-19 pandemic at the Islamic Education Department, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research approach uses a qualitative case study type, as informants there are 10 students in semester V C who take Learning Method Course: Islamic Cultural History and a lecturer for the course supervisor. Data collection technique uses observation, interviews, documentation and data analysis model uses the theory of Miles and Huberman through data reduction and presentation, as well as verification. The results of the study show (1) the Islamic Cultural History learning process for Islamic Education Department students is very necessary, both to broaden their horizons and to imitate the personal example of the Prophet, his friends, and believers in general. The flow of the learning process begins with the lecturer making plans for 1 semester (16 meetings) in which each meeting has a predetermined target. While the material is for class X, odd semester, in accordance with KMA No. 183 as many as 16 of 28 KD (57.14 %), and the methods most favored by the informants are the recitation method, role play, lectures, concept maps, and discussions. (2) Student responses to Islamic Cultural History learning using multiple methods are necessary and needed, such as the movie method, scramble, concept maps, etc. along with the steps. The use of these various methods makes the learning atmosphere livelier and students' memory is stronger on the Islamic Cultural History material messages to be implemented. While the (contextual) approach to Islamic Cultural History learning is more focused on paying attention to the potential, situation and condition of the informants.

This study examines the students' perceptions towards online learning at Universitas Malikusaleh in Lhokseumawe City during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study reviews the perceptions of students at this higher education institution about the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study covered the learning process, learning environment, and learning motivation. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach where the researchers distributed a self-administered questionnaire consisting of 16 items to the respondents online using Google Form. 100 respondents from Universitas Malikussaleh across faculties participated in the questionnaires. The data were then processed using SPSS Software. The results of the study exposed that students have negative attitude towards online learning during Covid-19 pandemic.
