Introduction: Child marriage is a global phenomenon where one in six girls aged under 19 are married as child brides that are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, in which girls are disproportionately affected by this practice. Therefore, this study aimed to provide reliable numbers of child marriages in Indonesia during the pandemic.Methods: Records from all 412 [Islamic] Religious Courts at the city/district level provided by the Supreme Court of The Republic of Indonesia were analysed, particularly the numbers of child marriage dispensation applications (bride and/or groom is below 19 years old) from 2019 to 2021.Results: New child marriage dispensation application numbers in 2019, 2020, and 2021 were 24,865, 64,225, and 62,890 cases, respectively, of which 2-4% of new applications were withdrawn every year. Up to 65% of new applications from 2019 to 2021 were consistently registered in six provinces in Java. However, the top-rank provinces with the rise of new applications in 2020 and 2021 when compared to records in 2019 were from outside Java, including Papua Barat, DI Aceh, Jambi, Maluku, Sulawesi Utara, Sumatera Barat, and Bengkulu.Conclusions: The child marriages in Indonesia skyrocketed by 2.5 times during the pandemic, represented by the rise of new child marriage dispensation applications to the Religious Courts between 2020 and 2021.Policy implications: Stakeholders should consider socio-economic and psycho-cultural factors in planning child marriage intervention programs during the pandemic, including involving local/religious leaders, tightening the marriage dispensation process, and prioritising areas with high percentages of poverty and the girl population.

One of the fundamental problems in the implementation of village development is related to the elements of village development planning or the preparation of Village Medium-Term Development Planning (RPJMDes) documents, because the RPJMDes is a document that shows the direction, objectives and policies of village development. RPJMDes is a document prepared by considering the objective conditions of the village and the development priorities of the district. The RPJMDes is prepared to be a systematic framework of thinking about the problems faced by villagers, about the potential sources of villages, as well as the formulation of strategic actions oriented to fulfill common ideals, namely improving welfare and at the same time building a democratic, fair and open (transparent) village government system or good governance. Jepitu Village is one of the villages located in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region which already has a RPJMDes for the period 2020-2025. This study aims to examine the suitability of the development planning process of Jepitu Village with selected reference documents. The method used was descriptive method. The results of the analysis of the Jepitu RPJMDes shows especially in the village development program, there is a discrepancy between the RPJMDes and the ideal rules of the RPJMDes regulated by government regulations.

This study aims to identify the level of poverty and the level of regional development, along with an analysis of the relationship and typology between the two, in Kulon Progo Regency. The analysis unit in this research was 12 subdistricts in Kulon Progo Regency. The method used in the research is descriptive quantitative, with secondary data analysis using factor analysis, natural breaks, Pearson Product Moment correlation test, alignment levels, regional typologies with scatter plot, and spatial analysis. Meanwhile, regional development policy recommendations are also prepared, based on the type of area resulting from the typology using a SWOT analysis. The results showed that there are variations in poverty and regional development levels. The correlation test between the poverty rate and three factors in the regional development rate showed a fairly strong negative relationship with input and output factors and a strong negative relationship with process factors, which means that the higher the poverty level, the lower the level of regional development, and vice versa. Meanwhile, regional development policy recommendations are prepared based on four quadrants of the resulting regions, namely Quadran I (developed regions), Quadran II (developing regions), and Quadran III and IV (underdeveloped regions).
