Nursing Diagnosis in Hospitalized Children Using NANDA-I: a Case Study

Abstract

Identificar diagnósticos de enfermagem segundo a taxonomia da NANDA-I em crianças hospitalizadas em uma Clínica Pediátrica de um hospital escola, baseado na teoria das necessidades humanas básicas de Horta. Método: Trata-se de um estudo de caso, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado com 37 crianças hospitalizadas, na faixa etária de 0 a 5 anos. Os dados coletados passaram por um processo de julgamento das necessidades afetadas, resultando na identificação de diagnósticos de enfermagem, denominados utilizando-se a Taxonomia da NANDA-I. Resultados: Foram identificados 184 diagnósticos distribuídos em 36 conceitos diagnósticos, com uma média de 5.1 por criança. Os diagnósticos obtidos com maior frequência foram Integridade da pele prejudicada, Risco de infecção, Risco de desequilíbrio eletrolítico e Dor aguda. Conclusão: Espera-se que esta pesquisa venha servir de estímulo para novos estudos nesta área, que necessita, a cada dia, de profissionais capacitados e com pensamento crítico para a execução de atividades complexas. Nursing diagnoses in hospitalized children
