This study aims to describe the reflection of the Dindang Maayun Anak song in the Banjar culture in South Kalimantan. The Dindang song contains linguistic units containing cultural functions and meanings in the Banjar community. Therefore, ethnolinguistic analysis was conducted through intralingual and extralingual equivalences. Subsequently, cultural semantic analysis is used to examine the cultural reflection in this study. The researchers recorded 53 stanzas of the dindang song, based on which 16 data were classified as words/terms, 9 data were classified as phrases, and 6 data were classified as sentences, reflecting local culture. The analysis showed that the Dindang Maayun Anak song reflects (1) the religious way of life-based on the Baiman, Bauntung, and Batuah philosophies as the implementation of Iman, Islam, and Ihsan teachings. (2) Trading, raising, and catching fish, alongside farming based on the economic system and livelihoods in the wetland, and (3) knowledge of nature, flora, and fauna. It also reflects the (4) parenting patterns based on the Baiman, Bauntung, and Batuah philosophies, (5) living equipment and technology that supports their economic system and livelihoods, (6) Banjar language as a lingua franca and means of expressing beliefs, knowledge, evaluation, and feelings. Furthermore, the Baiman, Bauntung, and Batuah philosophy is conceptualized differently by the traditional leader, Kesultanan Banjar (non-formal leader), formal (government) leader and modern education expert in South Kalimantan. The reflection of the three B’s is a prayer (for ordinary people), a motto (in a local government, and a school vision.

The purpose of this study is to describe the unique and extreme tradition of Bapukung among the people of South Kalimantan, which has been passed down from generation to generation until now. And reveal the philosophical meaning contained therein. This research method is qualitative with a phenomenological research design. The participants are nine people (six Banjar people, two Sundanese people, and one Javanese person) domiciled in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan. The results of the research are: The Bapukung tradition is urang Bahari tradition (old times) in South Kalimantan, where the child is put to sleep in a ayunan made of tapih bahalai (long cloth) and the child is seated, then wrapped in the ayunan and tied or wrapped around another tapih bahalai from the chin or neck to the waist or hips in a tight belt (strong). It is similar to swaddle, but the difference is that it is rocked and tied. So that children grow old and durable (sleep long), guringnya janak (sleep well), parent powerful weapon to stop fussy children. As well as many benefits for children's health: bagulu (neck) erect and strong spine, strengthens the heart, lungs, cough, flu, colds, while the impact of Bapukung parent is that parents can do things while working, taking care of many children with easy, calm, comfortable, and stress-free parenting. Bapukung is full of philosophical values, including psychological values, spiritual values, moral values, educational values, social values, and material values.

South Kalimantan has local culture and wisdom regarding child care, especially in putting children to sleep. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation until now, namely the unique and extreme Bapukung tradition. The purpose of this research is to describe how to raise children with the Bapukung Tradition and why this tradition is used for child care. This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach (which describes the authentic views of participants objectively), data collection techniques using purposive sampling techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The participants were 15 caregivers from five TPA-PAUD in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan with the following characteristics: 1) professional babysitters; 2) aged 22-70 years; 3) junior high school education; and 4) Banjarese and non-Banjarese. Analysis of the data used through the Nvivo program The findings in this study are: 1) The bapukung tradition is the urang Bahari tradition (in the past), putting the child to sleep in a seated position, covered with a swing cloth, tied and rocked with the aim of overcoming a fussy child, regulating the child's sleep pattern, sleeping peacefully and For a long time, the child is safe as in a hug and comfort. The bapukung process is accompanied by a touch of love, hums of tauhid sentences, prayers, and advice, all recorded in the child's memory; 2) Children benefit from warm bodies, strong necks, backbones, and healthy bodies free of coughs, runny noses, and shortness of breath, while caregivers benefit from being able to work while being busy, not stressed, comfortable, and calm in parenting. The bapukung tradition has an impact on the psychology of children and caregivers and affects the child's physiology, so this tradition must be preserved by the people of South Kalimantan and can be adopted by the Indonesian people as a solution to child care.
