In vivo antimetastatic and immunomodulating activity of phytomix-40

Abstract: Antimetastatic and immunomodulating activity of Phytomix-40, a new plant preparation containing various adaptogens has been evaluated on the model of Lewis lung carcinoma. Intragastric administration of the drug decreased the intensity of metastatic process by 57% in comparison with the control and improved survival by 43%. This correlated with immunomodulating effect of the drug, which manifested by increased functional activity of T lymphocytes. Key Words: plant adaptogens; Lewis lung carcinoma; antimetastat… Show more

“…Thus, the antimetastatic properties of MPhA were revealed which correlates with the immunomodulatory effect on the T-cell immunity and increased survival of animals. [64] MPhA also showed radioprotective properties in mice and dogs under conditions of acute and prolonged gamma irradiation. The animals' lifespan increased by 80 % (mice) and 40 % (dogs) with the best peripheral blood parameters.…”

“…Comparative studies of in vitro effects of the plant extracts (phytopreparation components and their combinations) on proliferative activity of CaOv cells allowed creating an optimal composition. Experimental studies of FM-40 were carried out [3,6,8].…”
