Abstract:Brilian is a hybrid learning application that combines face-to-face learning and online learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of hybrid learning of science management by using Brilian in college. This study was a pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample of the study were 55 students of Information System study program, Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Stikom Surabaya, Indonesia who were divided into two groups. Before conducting hybrid learning by using Brilian, b… Show more
“…The hybrid learning system in the PBHL model influences the increase in geography learning outcomes. The results of this study are supported by a research from Hariadi et al [34] dan Ridwan et al [35] which concludes that hybrid / blended learning improves learning outcomes and learning development. Students have more time in searching sources of data and information online that have not been obtained in the field.…”

PBHL is a learning model that combines PBL with hybrid learning. This study aims to 1) determine the effect of the PBHL model on spatial thinking ability and 2) determine the effect of the PBHL model on geography learning outcomes. This study uses a quasi-experimental design of the pretest-posttest control group. The research subjects were students of the Social Sciences Education Program, Uni-versitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. The selection of research subjects uses purposive sampling and obtained the experimental class (32 students) and the control class (28 students). This study uses the instrument of spatial thinking ability adopted from Huynh and Sharpe in the form of multiple choice tests and the instrument of learning outcomes assessment in the form of essay tests. Data were analyzed with an independent sample t-test which was previously tested for normality and homogeneity prerequisites. The results of the study concluded that 1) the PBHL model had a significant effect on spatial think-ing ability and 2) the PBHL model had a significant effect on geography learning outcomes. The average gain score of spatial thinking ability and geography learn-ing outcomes in the experimental class is higher than the control class. Sugges-tions for further research with different subjects and variables, integrated e-learning application should be used to make the planning and implementation of PBHL learning easier and more successful.

“…The learning media developed in this research is an Android-based application called "LEGASI" that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. This application is believed to improve the quality of learning in the classroom and are highly effective for improving student learning outcomes [33], [34], [35]. In addition, an Android-based application which has been developed help students with hearing impairments to learn to read the Quran [36].…”
The study has developed an android-based mobile application that can assist in the teaching-learning process of civic education in senior high schools. As a research-and-development activity, it employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on validation by material experts, the developed application was very feasible to use (89.04%), and the media experts concurred with this assessment (90.78%). During the large-group trials, the application scored between 3.96 and 4.68, meaning that it provides an excellent media or platform with high feasibility for the teaching-learning process of civic education in senior high schools.
“…Information and communication technology is defined as a series of activities facilitated by electronic means through processing [16][17], transmission, and display of information [18][19][20]. Mobile learning applications act as enablers in socio-cultural transformation in various aspects of people's lives and become the main driving sector for community growth.…”
The use of mobile learning applications in current conditions and the challenges of learning in the digital era has become a necessity and cannot be avoided for efficiency and effectiveness in learning anywhere and anytime. This study aims to analyze the Effect of Learning Readiness and Community Learning Toward Technology Management and Mobile Learning. Besides that, it also looks at how effective the application of mobile learning applications is in learning. This research is quasi-experimental research. The research design used is a posttest-only design, with a sample of 150 people and selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using one-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (One-way MANOVA). Analysis of the implementation of the mobile learning application using descriptive statistics. The results of this study reveal that community learning and readiness to learn together can be factors that influence student mobile learning and technology management. The application of Technology Management and Mobile Learning is very helpful in overcoming educational gaps and barriers in society and higher education, the results of the use of mobile learning applications have a very effective impact on the education process for better quality education.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
