The results of literature review show that Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Hybrid Learning models have been proven to increase students’ higher order thinking skills (HOTS), but also still have weaknesses that need to be refined. To complete the weaknesses in the implementation of the PBL Model and the Hybrid Learning Model, it is necessary to develop an Innovative Learning Model that can increase students' HOTS. The BWML (Blended Web Mobile Learning) Model is a learning model that integrates the Hybrid Learning model with PBL model, which is supported by the use of MoLearn application in each learning activity. The development of the Blended Web Mobile Learning model is supported by the latest learning theories and the empirical foundation of the latest research. The BWML model has five phases, namely: (1) Orientation based on IoTs and Big Data, (2) Investigation, (3) Analyzing, (4) Presenting, and (5) Evaluating, which each phase is carried out and supported by using the MoLearn application. The emphasis on BWML model implementation use percentage of 70% (on the job experience), 20% (mentoring and coaching), and 10% (classroom, course, and reading).
Brilian is a hybrid learning application that combines face-to-face learning and online learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of hybrid learning of science management by using Brilian in college. This study was a pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample of the study were 55 students of Information System study program, Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Stikom Surabaya, Indonesia who were divided into two groups. Before conducting hybrid learning by using Brilian, both groups of students were given a test of learning outcomes and after the learning was completed, students were given the same learning outcomes test again. The collected data was analyzed by using the Wilcoxon test; calculation of normalized gain (n-gain); and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that hybrid learning of science management using Brilian is effective to improve students’ learning outcomes and is indicated by: (1) an increase in students’ learning outcomes which was that was statistically significant at α = 5%, (2) the n-gain mean was in high category, and (3) the n-gain mean was not different in the two students groups.
Dampak positif dari Pandemi Covid-19 adalah berkembangnya pembelajaran online di hampir semua jenjang pendidikan. Dalam pelaksanaannya, sebuah pembelajaran online memerlukan sebuah aplikasi pembelajaran. Agar aplikasi pembelajaran dapat mewadahi kebutuhan pendidik, maka tentunya harus dibangun berdasar kebutuhan pendidik, yang dijajagi dengan menggunakan Pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), di mana pengusul menempatkan diri sebagai insider dan bukan sebagai outsider. Pada penyusunan desain ini, pendidik yang terlibat adalah perwakilan guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Hasil yang didapat adalah desain aplikasi pembelajaran jenjang SMA, dengan model pembelajaran yang bersesuaian dengan kebutuhan pendidik dan peserta didik, mudah dan dapat digunakan di manapun, menjamin standar mutu tanpa mengurangi kebebasan pendidik untuk mengembangkan materi. Setelah desain aplikasi pembelajaran didapatkan, maka pendidik diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner agar diketahui kesesuaian desain aplikasi yang dibuat dengan kebutuhan pendidik. Hasil yang didapat desain aplikasi pembelajaran telah dianggap sesuai dengan kebutuhan pendidik, sehingga dapat dilanjutkan dengan rancang bangun aplikasi pembelajaran sesuai desain yang telah disepakati.
