The study has developed an android-based mobile application that can assist in the teaching-learning process of civic education in senior high schools. As a research-and-development activity, it employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on validation by material experts, the developed application was very feasible to use (89.04%), and the media experts concurred with this assessment (90.78%). During the large-group trials, the application scored between 3.96 and 4.68, meaning that it provides an excellent media or platform with high feasibility for the teaching-learning process of civic education in senior high schools.
This study aims to develop the teacher's perceptions of critical thinking in science learning in elementary schools. The samples in this study were 50 elementary school teachers in Central Java. Selection of samples employed convenience sampling. The instruments in this study used a modified Likert Scale. The validity tests used in this research were content validity and construct validity. Content validity was measured using CVR (Content Validity Ratio) and construct validity was measured using EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis). By using SPSS, reliability estimation was obtained with the Cronbach Alpha formula 0.83 and it can be stated that the instruments for evaluating teacher perceptions of critical thinking in science learning are reliable.
Purpose of the study: This research aims to find the values of local wisdom in the Kuda Lumping Sarimpi performing arts in the Tegal Laos community. Methodology: This research uses qualitative research methods and data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation which includes source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis techniques which include data reduction, data display, and arrange conclusions. Main Findings: The Kuda Lumping Sarimpi had religious, social, and aesthetic values. Religious value is the use of music to accompany the blessing of the Prophet Muhammad. Social values as a unifying medium for the people of Tegal Laos, Brebes, Central Java in maintaining cooperation. Cultural aesthetic value is shown by the beauty of dance, musical instruments, poetry, and uniform. Applications of this study: The results of the research provide a descriptive view for the community, practitioners, researchers, and the government to work together in preserving all forms of local wisdom such as dance so that any local wisdom in each region can be sustainable and enjoyed by future generations. Therefore, this local wisdom can become a characteristic of the community that attracts tourists. Novelty/Originality of this study: In this research, the novelty element that is raised is displaying the values of local wisdom that are beneficial to the general public in the Kuda Lumping Sarimpi art community in Tegal Laos, Brebes, Central Java, Indonesia.
Indonesia is a multicultural country with a variety of cultures, one of which is Reog Ponorogo. Reog Ponorogo is a traditional dance passed down from generation to generation as a culture and identity of the Ponorogo society. Unfortunately, many people considered that Reog Ponorogo only as entertainment that does not contain scientific concepts. This research investigates physics concepts, especially Newton’s Law in Dadhak Merak dance of Reog Ponorogo. This research used the content analysis method involving unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring, and narrating. The result indicated that Newton’s First Law came up in the inertial frame of the Dadhak Merak. Newton’s Second Law is shown in the acceleration changes influenced by the mass and force of Pembarong. Newton’s Third Law is related to the dancer’s reaction force and the ground that raises a lateral force to the Dadhak Merak dance. This research is expected to contribute as a source of information on the development of contextual teaching and learning physics material.
Kekuasaan gubernur dalam menjalankan kewenangannya di beberapa daerah terkadang ditemukan ketidakharmonisan saat bersinggungan dengan operasionalisasi kekuasaan bupati/ wali kota. Disharmoni yang terjadi dalam relasi gubernur dengan bupati/walikota di beberapa daerah membuat penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai relasi gubernur dengan bupati/ walikota di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Pemilihan kepala daerah di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dilakukan secara langsung melalui pilkada hanya untuk memilih kepala daerah tingkat kabupaten/ kota sedangkan kepala daerah tingkat provinsi tidak dipilih langsung melainkan melalui pengisian jabatan yang diatur dengan undang-undang keistimewaan. Gubernur yang menjabat juga bertakhta sebagai Raja. Urgensi penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui harmonisasi relasi Bupati/ Walikota dengan Gubernur yang cenderung minim konflik sehingga dapat menjadi pencontohan daerah lain. Metode penelitian dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik penentuan narasumber menggunakan metode snowball sampling. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian deskriptif ini adalah teknik analisa data kualitatif, tanpa menggunakan alat bantu rumus statistik. Adapun hasil penelitian ini memiliki kesimpulan yakni pola relasi yang terbentuk antara Bupati/ Walikota dengan Gubernur Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta terdapat dua pola yang pertama relasi secara legal formal dan kedua relasi secara kultural. Kedua pola relasi tersebut memiliki implikasi positif terhadap penyelenggaraan pemerintahan baik di tingkat kabupaten maupun provinsi melalui harmonisasi relasi Bupati/ Walikota dengan Gubernur Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.
