Apresenta-se neste trabalho uma revisão da literatura em resolução de problemas abertos no Ensino de Física, contendo um panorama da produção acadêmica nos últimos 20 anos, assim como os referenciais teóricos e metodológicos adotados no ensino e na pesquisa relativa a problemas abertos no Ensino de Física. Foram consultados os principais periódicos nacionais e internacionais, resultando em 47 artigos, que foram divididos em três categorias para análise: Pesquisa (n=27), Propostas com Aplicação (n=9) e Apresentação de Propostas (n=11). Quanto às metodologias de pesquisa, predominam as quantitativas (n=9), com equilíbrio entre os delineamentos pré-experimental, experimental e quase-experimental, e os métodos mistos, no qual a maioria dos artigos (n=6) apresenta delineamento de pesquisa Integrado. Identificamos uma tendência das metodologias de ensino estarem intensamente fundamentadas em tentativa e erro, uma vez que, em geral, não são utilizados embasamentos em teorias de aprendizagem, que norteariam as práticas profissionais. Quanto aos referenciais teóricos de problemas abertos, prevalecem as concepções de Jonassen.

In this study, the heat and mass transfer of the blood flow, particularly in a capillary tube having a porous lumen and permeable wall in the presence of external magnetic field are considered. The velocity, temperature and concentration of blood flow become unsteady due to the time dependence of the stretching velocity, surface temperature and surface concentration. The thermal and mass buoyancy effect on blood flow, heat transfer and mass transfer are taken into account in the presence of thermal radiation. This analysis is very much useful in the treatment of cardiovascular disorders. The equations governing the flow under some assumptions are complex in nature, but capable of presenting the realistic model of blood flow using the theory of boundary layer approximation and similarity transformation. First, the system of coupled partial differential equations (PDEs) is converted into a system of coupled ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Then the solutions are obtained by Runge-Kutta method of 4thorder with shooting technique. The effects of various parameters such as Hartman number, radiation parameter, unsteadiness parameter, permeable parameter, thermal buoyancy parameter, Prandtl number, mass buoyancy parameter, velocity slip parameter, thermal slip parameter, Schmidt number on velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are depicted through graphs. Local Sherwood number enhances because of increase in Schmidt number. Moreover, some of the important results, which are discussed in the present study and have an impact on diseases like hyperthermia, stoke and moyamoya in human body.

The path of the trajectory of an aircraft from ground to space is modeled mathematically as a solution of the non-stiff differential equation. When the exact path is not tracable, we have to go for numerical solution of the model. To give optimal guidance to the aircraft, the path of the trajectory must be known. The need for the numerical method is to find the solution of a differential equation when the exact solution is not known. Traditionally, the order of convergence of the solution is proved theoretically and it can be tested with a test problem, if the exact solution is known. When the exact solution is not known, one cannot test the order of convergence of the numerical solution using the proved error estimates. In this paper, Euler method is applied to solve non-stiff differential equation when it does not have exact solution in hand, and an error estimate is derived to check the order of convergence of the solution of the numerical method. To show the behaviour of the numerical solution such as stability and order, in the complex plane, stability regions, order star, order star finger region, relative stability region, relative absolute region and order graph are presented. Experimental results are presented to show the performance of the numerical method with respect to the metrics such as regions of stability and theoretical and numerical rate of order of convergence of the solution, both numerically and graphically using MATLAB.
