Effects of 6-Benzylaminopurine and Indole-3-acetic Acid on Growth and Root Development of Banana Explants in Micropropagation

Abstract: The purpose of the experiment was to find out the impact of various combinations of growth regulators 6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP cytokinins family) and Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA auxin family) on growth and root induction of banana explants micro-propagated in vitro. This is probably due to the endogenous hormone levels of auxin in the explants being less than the cytokinin given at a level of 1.5, so it can increase the growth rate of shoots, but if the concentration is more than 1.5 ppm it can reduce multiplication and reduce shoot elongation and growth [17]. This can be proven by the number of shoots obtained in treatment 6, the number of shoots is at least 0.11.…”
