This study examined the effect of a Pedagogical Hypermedia Environment in the Science Discipline (PHFSD) on the acquisition of scientific concepts among fifthgraders during the 2019-2020 school years. The study adopted a quasi-experimental method with 50 fifth-grade students from a private school in Amman, Jordan, divided into two groups of 25 each. Students were randomly assigned to either a control group that was taught using traditional methods or an experimental group that was taught using PHFSD. A scientific concept test was conducted before and after the Motion and Force unit was taught. The data gathered was analyzed using ANCOVA. The results revealed a statistically significant difference at the α=0.05 level between the mean scores of the two groups on the scientific concepts test. Most of the variation (70%) in the fifth-grade students' posttest scores was attributed to the effects of the teaching method. Such positive results affirm that this pedagogical hypermedia environment had a positive impact on the fifth-graders. These findings support the use of a pedagogical hypermedia environment to enhance the acquisition of scientific concepts among fifthgraders in Jordan. The ministry of education and teachers can use these findings to enhance teaching and learning scientific concepts. Contribution/Originality: This study is one of very few studies that have investigated the effect of a pedagogical hypermedia environment on acquisition of scientific concept among fifth-graders in science discipline. This study fills the gap in the literature and provides evidence for the effectiveness of pedagogical hypermedia in the acquisition of scientific concepts. 1. Objective: to analyze the effect on the knowledge of therapeutic communication by Nursing students through the use of applications. Method: a randomized and controlled clinical trial conducted with 60 nursing students. In the topic Groups and therapeutic communication techniques, the intervention-IG group (n=30) used the application and the control-CG group (n=30) was submitted to the traditional class. The pre- (Zero Test -0) and post-test knowledge (immediate-Test 1 and after 30 day-Test 2) of those involved were evaluated. Results: Test 1, performed immediately after the intervention, showed a mean of 11 hits in the control group and 13 in the intervention, with statistical significance (p=0.036). Test 2 showed a decrease in hits in both groups (IG=10.87 and CG=9.3), but maintained the difference between IG and CG in the post-test (p<0.01). Conclusion: the use of the application on therapeutic communication favored the knowledge of the students, when compared to the traditional teaching method. REBEC RBR-4TF6MR Registration.

Digital educational technology for care management of diabetes mellitus people’s feet

Objective: to develop and validate a distance learning course aimed at the pillars of care management of diabetes mellitus people’s feet. Method: a technological production research using Moodle Virtual Learning Environment, based on Andragogy, Constructionism and Instructional Design. Content is based on consensus guidelines on diabetic foot. Validation was carried out by distance education, diabetes and/or diabetic foot experts. Results: the course’s content is based on diabetic foot guidelines, and is structured in units with didactic material, videos, forums and questionnaires to assess the participants’ learning. The judges considered it appropriate to meet nurses’ needs in clinical practice. Conclusion: the virtual learning course has been validated, being a promising strategy for training nurses on care management of diabetes mellitus people’s feet.
