Objective: Identifying the socioeconomic and cultural profile of users/readers of educational pamphlets, characterizing the context of the reading material and people involved; describing the user/reader evaluation on language and style used, as well as content range or limitations, and its characterization as an educational material in assisting users for meeting homecare demands. Method: A reception, cross-sectional, qualitative study. 27 respondents who had received five educational pamphlets were interviewed on Oncology signs and symptoms during primary care consultations. Results: Study participants were adults, with average schooling of more than 10 years and low income. Pamphlets were assessed as appropriate for consistent language, quantity and quality of content, and especially in relation to the capacity of helping in the homecare decision making process. The importance of receiving pamphlets at the initial stage of the disease was verified. Conclusion: Users acceptance was positive and the study revealed aspects that should be reinforced in the creation of educational pamphlets.
Objective: to develop and validate a distance learning course aimed at the pillars of care management of diabetes mellitus people’s feet. Method: a technological production research using Moodle Virtual Learning Environment, based on Andragogy, Constructionism and Instructional Design. Content is based on consensus guidelines on diabetic foot. Validation was carried out by distance education, diabetes and/or diabetic foot experts. Results: the course’s content is based on diabetic foot guidelines, and is structured in units with didactic material, videos, forums and questionnaires to assess the participants’ learning. The judges considered it appropriate to meet nurses’ needs in clinical practice. Conclusion: the virtual learning course has been validated, being a promising strategy for training nurses on care management of diabetes mellitus people’s feet.
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the current study is to present the results of the implementation of innovations after ten years of analysis of professional training in the Specialization courses of the UNA-UHS Unifesp Program, as well as evaluations of the perceptions of students in relation to academic demands and professional practice. METHODS: This is a retrospective and descriptive observational study with a mixed approach, carried out in 2019 and 2020, in São Paulo. The methodological steps include a description of the technical-scientific evolution of the courses, considering pedagogical and technological aspects, and an analysis of 1,163 enrolled students (doctors working in Primary Care) using assessment instruments.The data are presented in absolute numbers and corresponding percentage frequencies. RESULTS: The modernization phase of the courses included technological innovations and updates of the pedagogical strategies for navigating content and activities. Regarding the analysis of the students, through responses categorized in a positive way for all the evaluated questions, it was possible to observe the delineation of the data that reflect the performance of tutors and the approximation of the contents/activities with professional practice. CONCLUSIONS: The pedagogical project, contents, technological infrastructure, educational resources, navigation routes, and course management have undergone relevant advances. These innovations expand the body of evidence in order to guarantee competences and skills, considering the academic and professional preferences of students. The courses of the UNA-UHS Unifesp Program contribute to the strengthening of the Unified Health System, by expanding the perspective of training in Family Health.
