Design and Analysis of an Interactive MOOC Teaching System Based on Virtual Reality

Abstract: Abstract-In order to solve the problem of lack of immersion in the MOOC curriculum, through research on key technologies, a MOOC teaching interactive system based on virtual reality was constructed to improve it. Through the decomposition of complex objects or the addition of blank sub-objects, the system built corresponding collision detectors to achieve more realistic collision detection effects. The immersive and interactive nature of the virtual user in the virtual scene was enhanced. The results showed th… Show more

“…Although, newly created solutions were found and proposed only theoretically and have not yet been practically and experimentally verified. One of these solutions is the use of virtual technologies to stimulate a constant interest in the course by creating a unique study environment [22]. Its weakness lies in the technical complexity of its implementation and the lack of universal platforms on which training programs can be easily created.…”

“…Hence, the entire learning process can be transferred to virtual reality, where one can meet with the teacher, follow all the program details, or learn new material. Even regular educational content, such as links to web sources, images, texts, and videos can also be placed in a virtual space, considerably increasing the interest in training and the number of participants who will finish the course [22]. Nevertheless, the implementation of virtual reality affects the level of professional competence less than necessary.…”

“…The involvement and participation of students in e-learning have gained great importance in MOOC [25]. At the macro level, visualization is used to gain an insight into the patterns of student involvement, and the analysis shows histograms of participation and assessment disaggregated by weeks of study to confirm the overall interest; then the data are broken down to provide a detailed description of the interaction.…”

“…Through MOOC, every material provided can be accessed easily without time and space. In addition, learning can also be arranged with a variety of learning activities that are varied and rich with quality learning material [9], [12], [13]. Therefore, the effort to develop learning not only requires material substance, but also innovative creation in learning.…”
