Show more

AT), "ratio" (Relação SST/AT), índice tecnológico (IT). Alternative rootstocks for Valencia orange cultivation in the southwest region of the state of São Paulo
SUMMARYHybrids of mandarin Sunki vs Poncirus trifoliata cv. Rubidoux are a new generation of citrus rootstocks that have potencial to bring together characteristics such as, formation of plants with lower canopy size, high productive efficiency and production of fruits with high quality of juice. The objective of the present study was to evaluate citrus rootstocks in competition with Rangpur lime

“…In this way, studies on heritability and correlation can provide more conclusive criteria on the selection pressure of a species, favoring the selection of genotypes with superior performance (Benin et al, 2009;Galarça et al, 2010). It is worth noting that, in forage species, selection is preferably performed directly on the trait of greater importance such as leaf production, for its high nutritional value and for being the plant part preferentially consumed by animals (Brâncio et al, 2003).…”
1The objective of this work was to provide means to obtain genetic gain in apomictic species of the genus Paspalum by identifying traits that simultaneously show high correlation and heritability. Thus, to determine the amount of phenotypic variation due to genetic and environmental effects and the degree of association between leaf dry matter production and other traits of forage interest that are easy to select and measure will bring agility and economy in the selection of forage species. The experiment was conducted in the years 2009/10 and 2010/11 in the municipalities of Eldorado do Sul and Augusto Pestana, RS, Brazil, in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. The increase in the direct selection pressure on total and leaf dry matter of apomictic accesses of the genus Paspalum is enhanced by a greater contribution of genetic effects than environmental effects on the composition of the phenotypic variance. Efficient genetic gain in leaf production is achieved by indirect selection of total dry matter, which is a trait of high heritability and easy to select and measure.
“…The study of correlated traits can favor the choice of genotypes and/or handlings more adjusted, provided that is positively show linked to grain yield [27]. However, the correlations by itself does not inform about the cause-and-effect relationship between the explanatory variables and the main, suggesting the decomposition of these relations via track analysis [28].…”
The oat panicle components were changed by the forms of nitrogen use influencing productivity. The aim of the study was to determine the direct and indirect effects of oat panicle components on grain yield by N-fertilizer rates in succession systems of high and reduced release of N-residual. The study was conducted in the years 2013 and 2014 in a randomized complete block with four replications in a factorial 3 × 2, for nitrogen rates (30, 60 and 120 kg•ha −1) and oat cultivars (Barbarasul and Brisasul) the soybean/oat and corn/oat systems. The panicle weight and grain per panicle show greater sensitivity to the change of nitrogen rates. Grain yield was favored by the direct effect of harvest index panicle and indirect by grain weight per panicle. In the system soybean/oat, the grain weight of panicle shows greater efficiency in promoting positive direct effects on grain yield.
