Objectives: to describe the process of construction and validation of an educational booklet on care for children with gastrostomy, directed to caregivers. Methods: a methodological study developed in five stages: bibliographic survey; situational diagnosis; illustration, layout, design and text construction; expert validation and Flesch-Kincaid Readability calculation; validation with the target audience. Content Validity Index and Suitability Assessment of Materials were applied for expert analysis. Results: the Content Validity Index obtained overall score of 0.93. In the Suitability Assessment of Materials score, the booklet scored 85.2%. It presented a satisfactory readability percentage, with an overall score of 72%, and was consistent with caregivers’ assessment in the validation with the target audience, considering the explanatory technology, important and adequate. Conclusions: the developed educational booklet was considered valid for use by caregivers, thus contributing to the maintenance of best practices in care for children with gastrostomy.

Objective: To construct and validate a comic-type educational technology on the human papillomavirus vaccine. Methods: A methodological study developed based on the manuals, informative notes of the Ministry of Health and with the suggestions of the target audience. Content validation was performed with 11 expert judges and the validation of appearance, with 32 adolescents. For the judges, the Content Validity Index was used and for the target audience the proportion of agreement was considered. Results: The comic book obtained a content validation index total of 0.95, a validation index considered adequate. It was identified a concordance greater than 0.80 in the validation of appearance with the target public, indicating an excellent degree of agreement. Conclusion: The technology was considered valid by the judges and the target audience, and can be used as an educational tool to guide the practice in the acceptability scenario of the vaccine. Implications for practice: The technology may contribute to the stimulation of adhesion to the human papillomavirus vaccine, since, in Brazil, the rates of adhesion to this vaccine are still low.

Objective: to present the development of an educative booklet for self-care promotion in leprosy. Method: this is a descriptive study, of the experience-report type, with the development of the booklet in four stages: (1 st ) elaboration and submission of the project to the Research Ethics Committee; (2 nd ) search, in literature, for existing knowledge on the subject; (3 rd ) wheel of conversation with people with leprosy accompanied at a Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases; (4 th ) development of the content, guide, graphics and layout for the booklet. Results: thematic category emerged from the wheel of conversation "Content for a self-care booklet in leprosy", considering the main doubts, difficulties and needs of the study participants. The booklet title was "How to take care of the body in leprosy", with 36 pages, sized 210x148.5mm, printed in couche paper matte 150g/m 2 . Conclusion: the booklet developed is an educational material prepared in a participatory manner with the potential to contribute to self-care promotion in leprosy. Intitulou-se a cartilha "Como cuidar do corpo na hanseníase", a qual se apresenta em 36 páginas, com dimensão de 210x148,5mm, impressa em papel couché fosco de 150g/m2. Conclusão: conclui-se que a cartilha desenvolvida é um material educativo elaborado de modo participativo que tem o potencial de contribuir para a promoção do autocuidado na hanseníase.
