Objectives: to describe the process of construction and validation of an educational booklet on care for children with gastrostomy, directed to caregivers. Methods: a methodological study developed in five stages: bibliographic survey; situational diagnosis; illustration, layout, design and text construction; expert validation and Flesch-Kincaid Readability calculation; validation with the target audience. Content Validity Index and Suitability Assessment of Materials were applied for expert analysis. Results: the Content Validity Index obtained overall score of 0.93. In the Suitability Assessment of Materials score, the booklet scored 85.2%. It presented a satisfactory readability percentage, with an overall score of 72%, and was consistent with caregivers’ assessment in the validation with the target audience, considering the explanatory technology, important and adequate. Conclusions: the developed educational booklet was considered valid for use by caregivers, thus contributing to the maintenance of best practices in care for children with gastrostomy.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES:Venipuncture is considered a painful procedure, often performed in the neonatal intensive care unit. The objective of this study is to describe the behavioral and physiological responses of newborns undergoing venipuncture, with and without the use of non-pharmacological measures for the relief of pain. METHODS: A total of 84 newborns participated in this research. It was observed if the nurse prepared the newborn for the puncture. Newborns that did not receive the non-pharmacological approach were allocated in group 1, and those who received were to group 2. The behavioral and physiological parameters were assessed two minutes before and two minutes after the procedure in all newborns. The data analysis was descriptive. RESULTS: Before the procedure, 45.5% of the newborns in group 1 had a contracted face; however, after the procedure, this number increased to 69.7%. After the procedure in group 2, 29.4% grumbled, 3.9% had a vigorous cry, 66.7% did not cry. Arms and legs movement had similar responses in both groups. After the procedure, 72.7% of newborns in group 1 had a heart rate higher than 160bpm. After the procedure in group 1, 15.2% had an oxygen saturation between 96 and 100% and this value increase to 58.8% in group 2. Objective: To construct a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) about the water balance, to be used by the health team in the care of children hospitalized in a pediatric nephrology unit. Method: The study was carried out in two stages: integrative review of the literature for the development of SOP and validation by specialists. The search for literature occurred in the electronic databases PUBMED, SCOPUS, LILACS, BDENF. After the bibliographic survey the construction of the SOP was performed, which was evaluated by specialists. The analysis was performed by calculating the Content Validity Index (CVI). Results: nine studies were selected as results of the integrative review. The sample of specialists was composed of nine professionals. The study was evaluated in six items, five of which presented CVI = 1 and one obtained CVI = 0.77. Conclusion: the evaluation of specialists culminated in the validation of SOP, suggesting changes that were accepted and discussed with the literature.

Objetivo: identificar os diagnósticos de enfermagem da NANDA-I relacionados à amamentação em nutrizes acompanhadas na atenção primária à saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva com abordagem quantitativa, realizada em uma Unidade de Atenção Primária à Saúde em Fortaleza, Ceará, com a participação de 135 nutrizes e seus filhos. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um formulário contendo perguntas abertas e fechadas. Foi utilizada a versão NANDA-I 2015-2017 para a identificação dos diagnósticos de enfermagem. As informações obtidas no estudo foram tratadas pela análise descritiva. Resultados: Os diagnósticos de enfermagem identificados foram: Disposição para amamentação melhorada, Amamentação ineficaz, Leite materno insuficiente, Amamentação interrompida, Risco de vínculo prejudicado e Padrão ineficaz de alimentação do lactente. Conclusão: o diagnóstico de enfermagem relacionados à amamentação mais frequentes foi Disposição para amamentação melhorada, demonstrando a importância do apoio a nutriz na prática do aleitamento.

Objetivo: identificar a gravidade e o uso de intervenções em recém-nascidos com asfixia perinatal. Métodos: estudo documental, realizado com 48 prontuários de recém-nascidos com asfixia perinatal em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal, baseado no sistema de escore para intervenção terapêutica neonatal. Dados analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e inferencial. Resultados: os recém-nascidos avaliados apresentaram complicações como infecção neonatal presumida (63,2%), insuficiência respiratória (59,1%), sepse (38,7%) e convulsão (39,7%). Durante a internação, 35,4% foram a óbito. As intervenções mais utilizadas foram transporte e sinais vitais (100,0%), ambiente termorregulado (97,9%), ventilação mecânica invasiva (91,6%), antibióticos (77,0%), intubação (75,0%), flebotomia (72,9%) e cateter venoso central (68,7%). Conclusão: a média de pontuação do escore Neonatal Therapeutic Intervention Scoring System foi de 19,9, sendo verificadas médias estatisticamente diferentes entre as categorias das variáveis Duração da internação, Desfecho clínico e Escolaridade da mãe.
