The model of learning is one of the approaches of strategy that teachers must carry out in a systematic and procedural to regulate the activities of learning to achieve the goal of learning. The process of learning by using a model of learning inquiry can increase the activity of the students, the courage of students in revealing ideas and ideas, and improve students' science process skills in the physics learning process. The purpose of the research is to know how students' response to models of learning of inquiry was used at the time of learning physics and see whether the application of the model the students are more skilled in learning. Research is conducted in SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi on student grade X IPA 1, which aims to determine students' response when given an inquiry learning model during the process of learning physics. The instrument that is used is a questionnaire of students with a sample of 21 students. This study used a mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design. The descriptive statistics were employed in the data analysis technique to obtain the average, mode, median, minimum, and maximum values. Based on the findings of this study, it is possible to conclude that using inquiry learning models in physics learning can boost student activity, independence, and science skills. This is demonstrated by the students' responses in quite good categories. Students feel accountable for formulating, analyzing, and solving problems when using the inquiry learning methodology. So that students can learn physics in a more meaningful way, and the material is easier to retain. The student response rate to the learning model is rated as satisfactory.

Problem-based learning (PBL) is one of the various effective learning models used by a teacher in teaching physics. In the PBL model, students are encouraged to ask and answer questions to improve their problem-solving skills. This study aims to analyze whether the PBL model with the hybrid method can improve students' problem-solving abilities in learning physics. This research is pre-experimental research. The research sample is class X MIPA 1 at SMAN 17 Surabaya, taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted in a hybrid learning (offline and online) using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through observation and tests in the form of pre-test and post-test. The data were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the n-gain value obtained was 0.31 (medium category). The paired t-test results obtained have a sig value. (2-tails) of 0.000, which is smaller than sig. 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that learning physics with the PBL model is quite effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities.

Kurikulum 2013 merupakan pembelajaran yang menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pelajaran. Berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan untuk mengutamakan penalaran dan pengolahan informasi sehingga dapat dipertanggungjawabkan keabsahannya. Untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis Inquiry. Pendekatan STEM Education menerapkan berbagai informasi dalam mencari pengetahuan sehingga pendekatan tersebut cocok jika dikolaborasikan dengan pembelajaran model Inquiry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPA dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Inquiry dengan pendekatan STEM Education terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs Darussalam Dagangan kelas VIIA dan VIIB dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 59 orang. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan sampel purposive. Kelas VIIA sebagai kelas konvensional dan kelas VIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan eksperimen kuantitatif jenis Pre-Experimental Design dengan instrumen pengumpulan data One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian pembelajaran model Inquiry dengan pendekatan STEM Education yaitu terlaksana dengan baik. Hal ini terbukti dengan meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 51,93% dari sebelum eksperimen dilakukan.
