Aktivitas Anti Makan Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Indeks Nutrisi Serta Terhadap Struktur Membran Peritrofik Larva Instar v Spodoptera Litura F.

Abstract: Antifeeding activity of soursop leaf extract    (Annona muricata L.) and its effect on nutrition indices and the microscopic structure of peritrophic membrane of the fifth-instar larvae of Spodoptera litura F. were studied.  Antifeeding test was conducted by choice method. Discs of caisin leaf were dipped into the ether fraction of soursop leaf extract with concentrations of 0; 0.63; 2.50; and 10.00%. Nutrition indices and peritrophic membrane structure were observed by giving fifth-instar larvae  one of the f… Show more

“…There is no standard limit regarding the concentration of an effective test solution for compounds that are antifungal. A plant has effective anti-feeding properties when the level of food inhibition reaches 80-100% (Ambarningrum et al 2012). However, statistical data illustrate that the differences in concentration and type of test solution from the extracts did not provide a significant difference in the antifungal activity, as evidenced by the F values which are smaller than the F crit shown in Table 1.…”

“…Soursop leaves contain acetogenin compounds, including asimycin, roundacin, and squamosin, which function as pest repellents and anti-food items [17]. Soursop leaf extracts starting at a concentration of 2.5% have anti-eating activity and reduce the relative consumption rate and the relative growth rate of S. litura instar V [18].…”

“…Hingga kini pengendalian S. litura ditingkat petani umumnya masih mengandalkan insektisida sintetik, hal ini kurang efektif karena timbulnya resistensi hama, resurgensi hama dan peledakan hama sekunder serta dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya (Ambarningrum et al, 2012).…”
