Divergência Genética Entre Genótipos De Feijoeiro a Partir De Técnicas Multivariadas

Show more

“…Low variation in the first two components was also observed by Machado et al (2002), Rodrigues et al (2002) and Chiorato et al (2005) in studies of common bean. Cruz and Carneiro (2006) argue that, when at least 80 % of the variation is not absorbed by the first two components, a two-dimensional graph impairs the visualization of the dispersion, and the technique of principal components is ineffective to show the genetic diversity.…”

“…The Euclidean distance, Mahalanobis´ distance and the coincidence index (Cruz and Carneiro 2006) are used as dissimilarity measures. To assess the genetic variability of common bean, some authors have used multivariate analysis methods (Machado et al 2002, Rodrigues et al 2002, Chiorato et al 2005, Ceolin et al 2007, Elias et al 2007.…”

“…In agreement with this investigation, Vasic et al (2008) evaluated common bean population and reported that six PCs explained 80% of the total variability. However, other investigators observed low variation in the first two components in common bean (Machado et al, 2002;Rodrigues et al, 2002;Chiorato et al, 2007;Lima et al, 2012) using 12,51, 220, and 100 genotypes, respectively.…”

“…This fact indicated that the Tocher method was efficient in distinguishing cultivars from the different gene pools. The use of the genetic dissimilarity measure as a predictable hybrid value at the beginning of breeding programs, where there are a huge number of genotypes, is a very useful tool, because the parents for hybridization, instead of randomized, could be chosen by a genetic divergence study restricting crossings to only more promising combinations with economy in time and work (MALUF;COIMBRA et al, 1999;MACHADO et al, 2002;RIBEIRO;STORCK, 2003).…”
