Abstract: The present study had as objective to evaluate of the genetic divergence among 35 landraces of common bean. The experimental design was carried out in a randomized block with four repetitions. The variance analysis revealed significant difference at 1 and 5% levels of probability for the evaluated characteristics. The Cluster analysis based in the morpho-agronomic traits presented difference among Andean and Mesoamerican landrace cultivars, which it allocated the landrace cultivars in different groups. The Toc… Show more

“…O coeficiente de variação -CV (%) apresentou precisão experimental adequada, sendo, em sua maioria, classificados como baixo CV (abaixo de 9,0%), segundo PIMENTEL GOMES (1985). Tais variações estão de acordo com estudos anteriores avaliando genótipos de feijoeiros, obtidos por BARELLI et al (2009) e STÄHELIN et al (2010, demonstrando precisão experimental. Os CV estão adequados e dentro dos padrões utilizados para a cultura.…”

“…The common bean genotypes were separated into 33 groups by the Tocher optimization method. Similarly, the use of the Tocher method allowed the formation of a considerable number of groups based on similarities (within the group) and differences (among the groups) regarding the morphological, phenological, and production traits of common bean genotypes (Bonett et al, 2006;Elias et al, 2007;Barelli et al, 2009).…”

“…Therefore, the genetic variability observed in the landraces and the genotypes developed for breeding programs requires a more detailed characterization. Genetic dissimilarity and cluster analyses have been widely used to determine the genetic variability of common bean genotypes that have been grown in a given region or country (Bonett et al, 2006;Chiorato et al, 2006;Gonçalves Ceolin et al, 2007;Elias et al, 2007;Barelli et al, 2009;Coelho et al, 2010;Freitas et al, 2011;Blair et al, 2013;Grahic et al, 2013;Gonçalves et al, 2014;Hegay et al, 2014;Sofi et al, 2014). Thus, accession duplicates are identified, and hybrid combinations are planned based on the identification of genotypes with favorable traits for selection.…”
