Show more

“…Budding and grafting are the methods most commonly used (Araque, 1967; Figueroa, 1978; Leal & Rodríguez, 1981; Ogeden et al., 1981; George & Nissen, 1987; Baraona & Sancho‐Barrantes, 1992; Mason & Andrews, 1992; Lederman et al., 1997; Kitamura & Lemos, 2004). Many experiments have been conducted to determine the best way to propagate soursop and budding and patch budding have had the highest success rates (Iglesias, 1984; Iglesias & Sánchez, 1985; Calderón, 1988; González & Hernández, 1988; Lopes et al., 1990; Tencio, 1991; Genu et al., 1992; Mason & Andrews, 1992; Dantas et al., 1993; Lederman et al., 1997; Kitamura & Lemos, 2004).…”

“…Artificial pollination increases the size, regulates the shape and improves various other physical and chemical characters of the fruit (Campos et al, 2004). Although our understanding of floral biology and artificial pollination methodologies have advanced in recent years, some of the main obstacles to cultivation are still the low indices of fruit-set of the flowers and their subsequent development into fruit (Mendes et al, 2012;Pereira et al, 2014;Santos et al, 2014).…”
