This paper reports the implementation of an ERP system in the industrial area aiming at improvements in the standard of quality, cost and agility. After consolidation in the area using MRP II, the ERP was extended to the other areas of the organization. The methodology used in this study was oral history in an alternative way to make more relevant the results of academic research, this approach establishes as being of great relevance to the historical constitution of the profession. The objective of this work is to investigate the perception of organizational change that occurred with the implementation of a business management system (ERP) by the agents involved in this process focusing on project manager, project team and end users providing consistent data for analysis and execution of objectives proposed by the study. Two interviews were conducted with a consultant, being conducted face-to-face with a focus on the changes that occurred in the manufacturing module, through the implementation of MRP II. In the discussions proposed with the structured questionnaire, it was possible to notice that manufacturers of ERP systems have followed the evolutions in the manufacturing systems proposed especially integration in the management of the supply chain. In Brazil, ERP systems in manufacturing have presented updates to meet ancillary obligations imposed by the Treasury in the search for reduction of evasion.

RESUMO As potencialidades dos métodos biográficos são consideráveis para a Administração, apesar do conhecimento atual sobre esses métodos ainda aparecer disperso e fragmentado quanto às abordagens, definições, conceitos e práticas de uso. O objetivo deste artigo é integrar contribuições de vários campos disciplinares – incluindo a Administração – para sistematizar conhecimentos acerca dos princípios, potencialidades, práticas e desafios dos métodos biográficos. A pesquisa é baseada em uma revisão sistemática das publicações voltadas para os métodos biográficos, a partir de uma inclusão de suas várias terminologias (e.g. história oral, história de vida, autobiografia, narrativa de prática). Os resultados da pesquisa buscam contribuir com o avanço do conhecimento na área de metodologia de pesquisa em Administração, ao integrar, atualizar e discutir conhecimentos sobre os métodos biográficos.

Este artigo problematiza o uso da literatura como recurso estético durante o processo de ensino da administração, com base em uma análise multidisciplinar dos trabalhos acadêmicos publicados, com a finalidade de: refletir sobre literatura e o papel da ficção no ensino, articulando a literatura com a existência humana; abordar a pesquisa em organizações e o uso de gêneros e estilos literários na produção do conhecimento; e discutir sobre os usos dos textos literários em ensino, pelo relato e discussão de práticas que utilizam a literatura. Tem especial destaque a dimensão estratégica da atividade de ensino que usa a literatura como recurso estético. A conclusão é de que o texto literário é um poderoso recurso de aprendizagem, pois tem como matéria-prima a palavra, o discurso, que é a essência da administração. E, também, que a integração entre administração e literatura pode ser uma estratégia fecunda, favorecendo criatividade e descoberta, pois possibilita o desenvolvimento de capacitações para sentir e conhecer.
