The objective of this work was to evaluate nitrogen management alternatives using Azospirillum brasilense inoculation in wheat (Triticum aestivum) by seed and foliar applications. Treatments consisted of the inoculation or not of A. brasilense, via seed and leaves, associated with topdressing with 0, 70, and 140 kg ha-1 nitrogen. Three wheat cultivars were tested: BRS Parrudo, TBIO Quartzo, and TBIO Sinuelo. The experimental design was a randomized complete block, with three replicates. The following traits were evaluated: number of emerged plants, tillers, spikelets per ear, grains per ear, and grains per spikelet; 1,000-grain mass; hectoliter mass; and grain yield. The foliar management of A. brasilense showed a better association with the TBIO Sinuelo cultivar. The foliar application of A. brasilense, whether alone or combined with seed treatment, increases the grain yield and yield components of the evaluated cultivars.

Com a expansão e diversidade do sistema plantio direto, deve-se avaliar os benefícios econômicos gerados ao longo dos ciclos produtivos, com destaque para aqueles relacionados aos restos culturais da cultura antecessora e ao manejo da adubação nitrogenada da cultura sucessora. Este trabalho objetivou avaliar a viabilidade econômica de quatro doses de nitrogênio em cobertura, na produtividade de grãos de feijoeiro de inverno cultivado no sistema plantio direto, após diferentes culturas. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições, em esquema fatorial 8x4, com 32 tratamentos constituídos pela combinação de restos culturais (milho; milho -Azospirillum brasilense; Urochloa ruziziensis; Urochloa ruziziensis - Azospirillum brasilense; milho + U. ruziziensis; milho -A. brasilense + U. ruziziensis; milho + U. ruziziensis- A. brasilense; milho -A. brasilense + U. ruziziensis- A. brasilense) e doses de nitrogênio em cobertura (0 kg ha-1, 30 kg ha-1, 60 kg ha-1 e 90 kg ha-1). Concluiu-se que o maior acréscimo de produtividade de grãos do feijoeiro de inverno irrigado por aspersão foi obtido com a utilização de 90 kg ha-1 de nitrogênio em cobertura, em sucessão a Urochloa ruziziensis, sem a inoculação de Azospirillum brasilense. Recomenda-se, para obtenção da maior margem de ganho, a aplicação de 90 kg ha-1 de nitrogênio em cobertura, na cultura do feijoeiro em sucessão às outras culturas, exceto para Urochloa ruziziensis inoculada.

Reductions of nitrogen losses applied in coverage on the wheat crop is a necessity in the national wheat production, this advanced can increase grains yield, and for this, the use of nitrogen sources enriched with urease inhibitors can be a alternative for producers. In this context the objective of this study was to verify the different nitrogen fertilizers efficiency, with and without urease inhibitors, in coverage on the wheat crop and its effects on the expression of agronomics traits. The experiment was conducted in Guarapuava on the season of 2012, in the Experimental Camp of the Agronomy Department of the Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste of Paraná-UNICENTRO. The used design was of randomized blocks with five replications, in 3x2 factorial, being 3 traits of nitrogen coverage (control treatment, conventional urea and urea with urease inhibitor-NBPT), and 2 wheat cultivars (Mirante ® e BRS Pardela ®). There was significant difference between traits with nitrogen fertilizer for the assessed characteristics: Tillers number (NP), grains number for ears (GE), weight of a thousand grains (P1000) and grains yield (PROD). The results of this study allow to conclude that there was increase in the wheat grains yield when associated to the used coverage fertilizer with uerase inhibitor NBPT (200 kg ha-1-90 kg N), in face of the other evaluated treatments. The urea with urease inhibitor NBPT provided higher weight of a thousand grains when compared with conventional urea, being the result dependent of the evaluated cultivar.
