Palavras-chave: Adubação foliar, Inoculação foliar, Phaseolus vulgaris NITROGEN AND BORON FERTILIZATION ASSOCIATED TO THE INOCULATION WITH Bacillus subtilis IN THE AGRONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF COMMON BEAN ABSTRACT The common bean is a grain widely consumed by the Brazilian population, characterized as a source of protein accessible to the population of low economic power. However, Brazilian productivity is incipient due to its local importance. The aim of this experiment was to verify the effect of foliar fertilization with nitrogen and boron, associated or not to inoculation with Bacillus subtilis on the agronomic performance of common bean cv. Formoso. The experiment was carried out in a dystrophic Red Latosol, under no-tillage conditions, in the municipality of Selvíria, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The experimental design was in randomized blocks, with nine treatments and four replicates. The commercial products used were: Nitrobor ® (10.2 g of nitrogen L-1 + 2.04 g of boron L-1) and Panta ® (1.0 x 10 9 f.c. of B. subtilis mL-1). The treatments were established by nine doses of Nitrobor ® + Panta ® (0 mL ha-1 + 0 mL ha-1 ; 150 mL ha-1 + 0 mL ha-1 ; 250 mL ha-1 + 0 mL ha-1 ; 350 mL ha-1 + 0 mL ha-1 ; 450 mL ha-1 + 0 mL ha-1 ; 150 mL ha-1 + 350 mL ha-1 ; 250 mL ha-1 + 350 mL ha-1 ; 350 mL * mssmarcio@yahoo.com
Soil mechanical scarification (MS) and cover crop growing (CC) are strategies to minimize compaction in the soil surface layer under the no-tillage system (NTS). The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of soil mechanic scarification on the yield and nutrient accumulation in the shoot dry matter of cover crops, as well as the persistence of crop residues in NTS, implemented 12 years ago in the Cerrado conditions with low altitude. The study was carried out in Selvíria, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Brazil, in the 2012 and 2013 harvest, in a clay soil classified as Oxisol Red epi-eutrophic alic. The experimental design was a randomized block arranged in a 5 × 2 factorial scheme, with four replicates. The treatments were constituted by the combination of four cover crops (Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria juncea, Urochloa ruziziensis and Pennisetum glaucum) and fallow with spontaneous vegetation, with or without MS. Soil MS increases the shoot dry matter yield of P. glaucum, U. ruziziensis and C. cajan in the first crop. The P. glaucum species, independently of soil scarification, provide higher yield and accumulation of macronutrients in the shoot dry matter, besides provide higher persistence of crop residues. The U. ruziziensis and C. cajan, independently of soil scarification, have the potential for accumulation of N, P, K and Ca in the shoot dry matter, although with less persistence of residues on the soil surface.
The previous cultivation of green manures and mechanical soil decompression are options to minimize compaction of the topsoil in no-tilage system (NTS) set in different production systems in the Brazilian Savannah. In addition, it is essential to relate these agricultural practices with the economic benefits generated through the production cycles. The objective of this study was to evaluate economically the effect of sporadic mechanical decompression of the soil and previous cultivation of green manure in the production and net gain margin of upland rice and "winter" common bean, under sprinkler irrigation, in NTS in lowland Brazilian savannah. This study was developed in the 2012/13 harvest and 2013 winter in Selvíria, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in an clay texture Oxisol in the savanah in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in a randomized block design arranged in a 5 x 2 factorial arrangement with four replications. The treatments were a combination of five green manures (fallow (control), Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria juncea, Pennisetum glaucum and Urochloa ruziziensis) with and without mechanical soil scarification. The yields of upland rice and common bean grains were not influenced by the previous green manure cultivation; the upland rice grown in succession to Cajanus cajan in the presence of mechanical soil scarification provided greater increase in grain yield and higher gross margin profit. Beans cultivated in succession to Crotalaria juncea and Pennisetum glaucum in the presence of mechanical soil scarification, followed by rice cultivation, provided greater increases in grain yield and gross profit margins.
