Agronomics characteritcs of wheat cultivars in response to urea treaded with urease inhibitor in coverage

Abstract: Reductions of nitrogen losses applied in coverage on the wheat crop is a necessity in the national wheat production, this advanced can increase grains yield, and for this, the use of nitrogen sources enriched with urease inhibitors can be a alternative for producers. In this context the objective of this study was to verify the different nitrogen fertilizers efficiency, with and without urease inhibitors, in coverage on the wheat crop and its effects on the expression of agronomics traits. The experiment was c… Show more

“…The estimated production of wheat in Brazil is around 6.0 million tons, with an average yield of 2.3 t•ha −1 (CONAB 2016). Because nitrogen is the nutrient absorbed and exported in the largest amount by the wheat crop, proper management of N fertilization has been one of the most important management practices to increase wheat grain yield and quality (Rossi et al 2013).…”

“…Despite the genetic differences of the genotypes, the variation in HW is also influenced by environmental factors such as N availability, number of grains per ear, number of tillers and rainfall during physiological maturation, among others (Rossi et al, 2013).…”

“…Ciência Rural, v.53, n.2, 2023. can be used as an indirect criterion for the selection of genotypes with greater hectoliter weight, a trait that is considered a quality criterion by the industries, since it is associated with flour yield. Given the high influence of the environment on this trait (ROSSI et al, 2013), these results can be explained by the fact that plants with a lower cycle are less susceptible to the incidence of biotic and abiotic stresses.…”
