Family Perception About Their Presence or Not in a Pediatric Emergency Situation

“…Regarding benefits for patients, results of this study indicate that family presence functions as an important strategy for support. The understanding that family presence supports the patient by promoting maintenance of physical and emotional contact among the family-patient binomial has also been reported in other studies with family members (9,11,24) and patients (8,13) .
