COVID-19’s pandemic has hastened the expansion of online learning across all levels of education. Countries have pushed to expand their use of distant education and make it mandatory in view of the danger of being unable to resume face-to-face education. The most frequently reported disadvantages are technological challenges and the resulting inability to open the system. Prior to the pandemic, interest in distance learning was burgeoning, as it was a unique style of instruction. The mini-review aims to ascertain students’ attitudes about distant learning during COVID-19. To accomplish the objective, articles were retrieved from the ERIC database. We utilize the search phrases “Distance learning” AND “University” AND “COVID.” We compiled a list of 139 articles. We chose papers with “full text” and “peer reviewed only” sections. Following the exclusion, 58 articles persisted. Then, using content analysis, publications relating to students’ perspectives on distance learning were identified. There were 27 articles in the final list. Students’ perspectives on distant education are classified into four categories: perception and attitudes, advantages of distance learning, disadvantages of distance learning, and challenges for distance learning. In all studies, due of pandemic constraints, online data gathering methods were selected. Surveys and questionnaires were utilized as data collection tools. When students are asked to compare face-to-face and online learning techniques, they assert that online learning has the potential to compensate for any limitations caused by pandemic conditions. Students’ perspectives and degrees of satisfaction range widely, from good to negative. Distance learning is advantageous since it allows for learning at any time and from any location. Distance education benefits both accomplishment and learning. Staying at home is safer and less stressful for students during pandemics. Distance education contributes to a variety of physical and psychological health concerns, including fear, anxiety, stress, and attention problems. Many schools lack enough infrastructure as a result of the pandemic’s rapid transition to online schooling. Future researchers can study what kind of online education methods could be used to eliminate student concerns.

Introduction. The paper presents the results a study of the implementation of individual educational routes in students’ autonomous foreign language study at a non-linguistic university. Factors determining student motivation and satisfaction with the autonomous study using the Rosetta Stone Advantage platform were considered. The purpose of the study was to find out how tutors manage autonomous work and what ICT tools are used in this process. The relevance of this study is determined by the importance of the implementation of electronic platforms in the process of teaching foreign languages, as well as the need to investigate new forms of management used by tutors in the process of monitoring individual learning activities in electronic educational environment. Materials and Methods.The following methods have been used in this research: a survey with Likert scale, data analysis, semantic interpretation of data and graphical representation of data. The empirical basis of this study includes the results of the survey of students of the Institute of Distance Learning and Open Education at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow). Results. In the present article it is shown that students can benefit from the integration of electronic platforms in foreign language learning since it provides them with excellent opportunities to choose their own educational content that takes both their professional interests and their present level of foreign language proficiency into account. However, although most students are motivated to use electronic educational platforms in their autonomous work, they need assistance. Tutors play an important role in the organisation of this type of educational activity in terms of explaining how to work with the platform, helping students to choose individual learning routes and providing motivation. Using various ICT tools of pedagogical management, tutors monitor the process of autonomous work and control its results; thus, the individual work of students becomes more ef ficient. Discussion and Conclusion. The results of the research and the discussion of these results with colleagues at scientific conferences and methodological seminars help to determine future perspectives for the successful use of pedagogical management tools in the process of autonomous study on electronic educational platforms. The results of the research have practical value for teachers of foreign languages working in the electronic educational environment.

The decision regarding the distance education method in Turkey on March 15, 2020, has completely changed the learning and teaching methodology of all university students and educators, and it has been seen that all courses have started to be given with distance education. The purpose of this research is to examine the perspectives of engineering university students towards distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research consists of engineering faculty students studying at various universities in the Aegean region and Russian Federation. In the research, a scanning model was used. The data of the research were collected from 520 engineering department university students from various universities in our country, according to the convenience sampling method, and through an online questionnaire filled out by the students. Thanks to this wide participation, results have been obtained that will explain the Covid-19 process related to distance education in a good way. In general, it has been concluded that students are happy to see them in distance education model courses, so they do not fall behind in their education, and university students watch their courses mostly with the help of smart devices.

The article discusses new forms of pedagogical interaction in the process of teaching and learning a foreign language in a digital educational environment. The author analyzes the advantages of using individual educational space and individual educational routes. The effectiveness of using the Moodle platform for communication with trainees is noted. The author concludes that the right choice of pedagogical interaction and pedagogical management tools contributes to the optimization of the educational process and to the growth of students’ motivation for learning a foreign language

The article describes the issues of strategic planning and legal regulation of activities aimed at energy saving and energy efficiency in the Russian Federation. The authors set the goal to determine the directions for strategic planning of the energy saving policy of the Russian Federation based on a comparative legal analysis in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development of an energy­saving economy. The article considers advanced technologies designed to ensure the most effective implementation of the provisions of legal acts adopted in the last decade in Russia. The methodology of this scientific research is the use of hermeneutics, interpreting legal texts and application of formal logical instruments within the system analysis of current Russian strategic planning acts for long­term (medium­term) period to coordinate the activities of economic entities and public authorities in the appropriate direction. Besides, it includes normative acts that establish the legal, economic and organizational basis for stimulating energy conservation and improving energy efficiency as well as legal documents of other countries that determine their policies in this area. The authors come to the conclusion that it is required to consult various specialists, including ophthalmologists, when creating norms of Russian legislation in the field of energy saving; to account for technical and technological characteristics of LED (light emitting diode) modules, chips, other light sources; to take into consideration the possibility of their use in various fields in order to achieve energy efficiency.

В статье рассматривается роль публичных обращений первой леди США Мишель Обамы в формировании имиджа президента. Уделяется особое внимание коммуникативным стратегиям, стилистическим и лексикограмматическим средствам, используемым в публичных обращениях для оказания речевого воздействия на избирателей. Автор считает, что предвыборные обращения играют определенную роль в манипуляции сознанием электората.

В данной статье сравниваются особенности организации образовательного процесса в Российской Федерации и Республике Корея в период перехода на всеобщее онлайн-обучение. Авторы уделяют особое внимание системе высшего образования и анализируют факторы, детерминирующие радикальную трансформацию образовательного формата в связи с использованием новых форм обучения. Выделяются наиболее важные подходы, обеспечивающие эффективность образовательного процесса во время пандемического кризиса. Отмечается эффективность использования подхода «перевернутый класс», который гармонично сочетается с традиционными методами обучения, принятыми в корейской студенческой аудитории, а также подчеркивается важность профессиональной переподготовки профессорско-преподавательского состава для работы в новом формате. Особое внимание уделяется рассмотрению вопроса о том, может ли онлайн-обучение достойно заменить офлайн-формат или предпочтительнее использование традиционной формы обучения. Анализируется целесообразность применения комбинированного варианта. В статье рассматриваются электронные инструменты, созданные на государственном уровне в Республике Корея с целью защиты авторских прав на образовательный контент, представленный онлайн, а также электронные инструменты защиты от плагиата. Авторы делают вывод о том, что в связи со значительными изменениями в образовательной среде произошел качественный скачок, последствием которого стала глобальная трансформация образовательной системы.

В статье рассматриваются различные средства, используемые для создания имиджа Елизаветы II. Выбор предмета исследования определяется интересом к Британской королевской семье. Автор приводит различные определения понятия «имидж», анализирует его характерные черты. Отмечается, что имидж может быть положительным и отрицательным, контролируемым и неконтролируемым, желаемым и реальным. При формировании имиджа определенную роль играет внешность человека, его манеры, увлечения, интересы, особенности речи. Особое внимание уделяется вербальным и невербальным средствам создания имиджа. Анализируются лексические, фонетические и стилистические особенности, рождественских обращений королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II. На примере рождественских обращений рассматривается роль публичной речи в создании положительного имиджа английской королевы.
