Given the infinite output resistance exhibited by Corbino TFTs beyond pinch‐off, uniform OLED current is maintained, even in large‐area displays, where supply‐voltage (VDD) may vary due to IR drop. Here we extend their application to flexible AMOLED displays, where their circular shape provides excellent stability against self‐heating and mechanical bending‐strain.
We studied the effects of Corbino structure amorphous indiumgalium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) using TCAD and circuit simulator. The Corbino structure shows the special behavior with drain electrode in inner or outer. By simulation, we confirm the Corbino structure have better performance than conventional structure for AMOLED pixel circuit.
