This paper aims toward the improvement of the limitations of traditional failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and examines the crucial failure modes and components for railway train operation. In order to overcome the drawbacks of current FMEA, this paper proposes a novel risk prioritization method based on cumulative prospect theory and type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy VIKOR approach. Type-2 intuitionistic VIKOR handles the combination of the risk factors with their entropy weight. Triangular fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TFNIFNs) applied as type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (Type-2 IFNs) are adopted to depict the uncertainty in the risk analysis. Then, cumulative prospect theory is employed to deal with the FMEA team member’s risk sensitiveness and decision-making psychological behavior. Finally, a numerical example of the railway train bogie system is selected to illustrate the application and feasibility of the proposed extended FMEA model in this paper, and a comparison study is also performed to validate the practicability and effectiveness of the novel FMEA model. On this basis, this study can provide guidance for the risk prioritization of railway trains and indicate a direction for further research of risk management of rail traffic.
Bogies are critical components of a rail vehicle, which are important for the safe operation of rail transit. In this study, the authors analyzed the real vibration data of the bogies of a railway vehicle obtained from a Chinese subway company under four different operating conditions. The authors selected 15 feature indexes – that ranged from time-domain, energy, and entropy – as well as their correlations. The adaptive synthetic sampling approach–gradient boosting decision tree (ADASYN–GBDT) method is proposed for the bogie fault diagnosis. A comparison between ADASYN–GBDT and the three commonly used classifiers (K-nearest neighbor, support vector machine, and Gaussian naïve Bayes), combined with random forest as the feature selection, was done under different test data sizes. A confusion matrix was used to evaluate those classifiers. In K-nearest neighbor, support vector machine, and Gaussian naïve Bayes, the optimal features should be selected first, while the proposed method of this study does not need to select the optimal features. K-nearest neighbor, support vector machine, and Gaussian naïve Bayes produced inaccurate results in multi-class identification. It can be seen that the lowest false detection rates of the proposed ADASYN–GBDT model are 92.95% and 87.81% when proportion of the test dataset is 0.4 and 0.9, respectively. In addition, the ADASYN–GBDT model has the ability to correctly identify a fault, which makes it more practical and suitable for use in railway operations. The entire process (training and testing) was finished in 2.4231 s and the detection procedure took 0.0027 s on average. The results show that the proposed ADASYN–GBDT method satisfied the requirements of real-time performance and accuracy for online fault detection. It might therefore aid in the fault detection of bogies.
Bogie is one of the most major mechanical part of railway train. Its security and reliability are of paramount importance. Since research in this field is still on the early stage, which focus on either mechanical structure without condition or binary coherent systems. A multistate network flow model has been proposed in this paper with consideration of components degradation level and functional interaction between them. Firstly, the structure and function of the bogie for CRH3 were made a detailed introduction. Then transmission paths of three types force on bogie were study to determine the network strcture. Different from other papers, arcs represent the components and nodes are the transitive relation. Arc capacity tends to be confirmed easily with utilization of performance deterioration of elements on bogie involved in force tranferring. Flow rate of each arc depends on both component' health status and the task it undertakes. Furthermore, the minimal paths (MPs) method and the recursive sum of disjoint products (RSDP) with ordering heuristics are used for system reliability calculation; and the relative probability importance of each basic component and system reliability with and without forehead information are given at last. The results show that the network flow model works well on CRH3 bogie, and can support as guidance of bogie system design, daily system operation and predictive maintenance.
Abstract. The research of competency is one of the hot issues in the area of HRM at present. On the basis of existing research, this study adopts the measuring scale of HR professionals' competency in enterprises of China which was developed by Chen Wansi, Ren Wei and Yao Shengjuan to make a survey on HR professionals' competency of the enterprises in Guangzhou and Foshan region. In this study, we found that the competency of winning support, effective allocation, inspiration, HRM knowledge, HRMIS(human resource management information system) application and business knowledge are significantly related to the enterprise performance. In allusion to this situation, we give same corresponding suggestions to improve the competency, and then promote the enterprise performance continuously.Human resource is one of the core resources which obtain the competitive advantages for enterprise. HR professionals play an important role in the enterprise competition, and they can increase the value of enterprise by their competency promotion. Both in academia and enterprise management practice, improving employees' competency has become a consensus. But it requires different competency in different industry, enterprise and position, so it's necessary to make an in-depth study of competency for specific industries and positions. In order to analysis the relationship between HR professionals' competency and enterprise performance, this study selected the HR professionals from petrochemical trade enterprises in Guangzhou and Foshan region as the sample. And we found the competency factors which have great influence on enterprise performance in this industry through questionnaire survey and empirical analysis. We hope the analysis result can help enterprises improve their HR professionals' competency and then promote their performance continuously. Review of the literature CompetencyThe concept of competency was first put forward by McClelland (1973) in his article "Testing for competency Rather Than Intelligence". He considered that the competency was the knowledge, skill, ability, qualities and motivation which was relevant to work, performance or any other important achievements in life directly.[1] He suggested that the traditional ability tests like intelligence test should be replaced by competency test. Spencer (1993) considered that competency was the basic potential characteristics which referred to the standard performance. It was the basic potential characteristics which was underlying and stable. And it was related to the position and could help to understand its anticipative or actual reflection and forecast the performance.[2] Later, some scholars started to research the relationship between the competency and enterprise performance. Ulrich, considered that competency could add value to enterprises, but it must focus on the changing environment so as to support the enterprises to achieve competitive
