Latar Belakang; Masalah kesehatan global yang masih cukup tinggi pada remaja putri yaitu Anemia. Beberapa faktor penyebab anemia adalah usia menarche, obesitas, serta kurangnya asupan zat besi. Remaja putri yang memiliki berat badan lebih mengalami anemia karena penimbunan lemak di dalam jaringan adipose yang akan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kadar hepsidin sehingga mengganggu absorbsi besi di dalam tubuh. Tujuan; Menganalisis hubungan berat badan dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di Kabupaten Boyolali. Metode; Observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh remaja putri SMA di Boyolali. Sampel sebanyak 90 remaja putri dengan menggunakan teknik Multi Stage Sampling. Pengumpulan data berat badan diukur dengan antopometri dan pengukuran kadar hemoglobin menggunakan metode cyanmethemoglobin. Data di analisis menggunakan uji statistik chi square. Hasil; Sebanyak 51,1% remaja putri mengalami anemia dengan obesitas. Obesitas ditemukan pada 87,8% remaja putri dengan berat badan lebih. Remaja putri dengan berat badan lebih berisiko untuk mengalami anemia sebanyak 6,273 kali (p = 0,013). Kesimpulan; Berat badan berhubungan positif dengan kejadian anemia. Remaja putri diharapkan dapat mengontrol berat badan dan mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung tinggi zat besi. Penyediaan suplementasi zat besi dimasukkan ke dalam program UKS. Indonesia kaya akan sumber bahan pangan. Namun, masih banyak bahan pangan yang belum dimanfaatkan potensinya secara maksimal. Salah satu bahan pangan tersebut adalah Singkong. Tanaman ini merupakan bahan baku yang paling potensial untuk diolah menjadi tepung, salah satunya adalah tepung mocaf. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah pengolahan tepung mocaf yang diproduksi oleh mitra belum bisa dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah makanan berbahan dasar tepung mocaf pada ibu-ibu di Desa Sumberejo, Kecamatan Pagar Merbau, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, solusi yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan tentang ragam olahan makanan dari tepung mocaf serta pendampingan dalam praktek pembuatan produk makanan tersebut. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan dalam membuat berbagai olahan dari tepung mocaf. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah diskusi, wawancara, edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan November tahun 2021. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan tepung mocaf dan kemampuan terkait bagaimana membuat berbagai produk makanan dari tepung mocaf yang memiliki nilai gizi dan nilai jual yang tinggi. Indonesia is rich in food sources. However, many foodstuffs still have not been utilized to their maximum potential. One of the foodstuffs that can be processed into food is sweet potatoes, or what we commonly call cassava. This plant is the most potential raw material to be processed into flour, one of which is mocaf flour. The problem is that the processing of mocaf flour produced by partners has not been utilized optimally. This is due to the lack of knowledge and skills in processing food based on mocaf flour in mothers in Sumberejo Village, Pagar Merbau District, Deli Serdang Regency. Based on these problems, the solution to solve the problem is to provide training on the variety of processed foods from mocaf flour and assistance in the practice of making these food products. Training and mentoring are carried out to improve knowledge and skills in making preparations from mocaf flour. The methods used in this community service activity are discussion, interview, education, training and mentoring through the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The result of this activity is the increasing public knowledge about the utilization of mocaf flour and related abilities to make various food products from mocaf flour that have high nutritional value and selling value.
This research was carried out at the Sports Science Study Program, Faculty of Sports Science, Medan State University, and the Surrounding Medan Football Association (PSMS). The respondents in this study were ten athletes and four football coaches. The model that will be used is a Four-D (4D) model consisting of four (4) stages, namely, Define (defining), Design (design), Develop (development), and Disseminate (deployment). The results showed that most ( 95%) of respondents needed an E-Book on physical exercise and diet management for football athletes. They agreed that all physical training materials in the indicators mentioned must be in the E-book. The validation results of the material show that the material presented in the e-book is very suitable (3.67) with what is needed today and is ideal for use. The results of validation of the media show that this e-book media is included in the category of very suitable both for the completeness of presentation and the feasibility of graphics and can be used as an electronic medium for football sports. The readability test results received an average assessment of 3.75, meaning that the e-book can be declared very legible and suitable for use. The results of the different tests showed significant differences in the years before and after being given the intervention of physical training and diet E-books for Football Athletes. Athletes' knowledge has increased, with an average knowledge increase score of 19.4 points. Suggestions for future improvement and development of e-books are like adding more exciting images and multiplying case examples.
Adolescents are vulnerable to experiencing malnutrition issues, both overnutrition and undernutrition. This study’s objective was to determine the relationship between eating and screen viewing behaviour and with nutritional status of adolescents. This study used a cross-sectional design with 145 adolescents chosen through the purposive sampling method. The samples were divided into three categories: early adolescents, middle adolescents, and late adolescents, and data on eating behaviour were obtained by using Adult Eating Behavior Questionnaire (AEBQ). The screen viewing behavior variable had two categories: low screen time and high screen time. Adolescent body mass index z-scores measured nutritional status. This study was conducted from June to August 2022. Results showed 5.5% underweight participants, 18.6% subject overweight participants, and 22.8% obese participants of the total participants. Spearman’s tests showed that there was a significant relationship between eating behaviour and nutritional status (p<0.05) only on two subscales of appetite traits (emotional overeating and food responsiveness) in early adolescents. Likewise, in late adolescents, there was a significant relationship between eating behaviour and nutritional status (p<0.05) only with emotional undereating. There was no significant relationship between screen viewing behaviour and nutritional status in all categories of adolescents. The highest prevalence of obesity was found in early adolescents, and it influenced the adolescent’s eating behavior such as emotional overeating. While in late adolescents, malnutrition cases were more or less common due to emotional undereating.
A small number of PLC trainers for electric motors are used by the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Universitas Negeri Medan. A smart relay, a device resembling a PLC, must be added. This study prioritizes trainers as a learning medium and attempts to construct a smart relay-based electric motor operation trainer. Research and development is the research methodology used. Based on this methodology, a smart relay trainer is planned and constructed, after which it is handed to students for use as a learning kit. Through the distribution of questionnaires to students, this study put the smart relay trainer to the test. The results of the content expert validation test and media experts percentages were received 80% and 98%, respectively, with very good qualifications. According to the research, the Smart Relay-Based Trainer kit learning materials are appropriate for use in the electric motor learning process.
