Palavras-chave: gordura animal, órgãos digestivos, óleo de soja Effects of feeding increasing levels of vegetable oil or animal fat on digestibility, cecotrophy, performance and carcass yield of growing rabbits ABSTRACT -Two assays were conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding increasing dietary levels (1.5, 3.0, 4.5, and 6%) of soybean oil (SO) or animal fat (pork lard -AF) on nutrient apparent digestibility and performance for growing rabbits. In the digestibility assay, 72 NZB rabbits were assigned to a completely randomized design with nine treatments and eight replicates. No treatment effect on the coefficients of digestibility of DM, OM, CP GE or the DM ingestion was observed, however it was observed positive effect on EE and NDF digestibilities. No effect of increasing dietary levels of SO or AF on cecotrophe nutritional contribution or DM and CP was observed, but the addition of 3 and 6% AF increased EE nutritional contribution. In the performance assay, 45 rabbits NZB were assigned to a completely randomized design with nine treatments and five replicates. The animals were individually caged immediately after weaning, where feed intake and weight gain were controlled up to 77 days old. No significant treatment effect on final weight, daily weight gain, feed: gain ratio and weights of carcass, leather, kidneys or intestine was observed. It was observed negative effect on daily feed intake and weights of liver and heart.
Palavras-chave: desmame, histologia, intestino, leitão, nutrição, pH Effect of Simple and Complex Diets on the Morpho-Physiologycal Gastrointestinal of Young Pigs at 35 Days of AgeABSTRACT -An experiment was conducted with objective to evaluate the effect of the simple and complex diets on the morphofisiologycal gastrointestinal of young pigs, on their pre nursery (7 th to 21 st day) and nursery phases (21 st to 35 nd of age). Ninety six crossbreed young pigs (male and females) were allotted to a randomized block design with four treatments, six replications and four young pigs for each experimental unit. It were used diets: two simple; a with 16 and the other with 19% the protein (CP) and two complex; a to the base corn, fish meal, dried milk, corn gluten without the use of soybean meal (CSFS) and the other to the base corn, fish meal, dried milk, soybean meal, without the use of corn gluten (CCFS), both with 19% the CP. The pigs were slaughtered at 14, 21, 28 and 35 days of age. There was reduction of liver absolute and relative weights and of pancreas relative weights, by using CSFS diet. pH of the stomach and intestine contents was not influenced by the diet . The animals fed simple diet with 16% of CP and complex CSFS showed larger crypt depth (CD) at 21 and 35 days of age, respectively, but did not show effect on the villous height (VH) and villous:crypt r...
Palavras-chave: amilase, celulase, desmame, farinha de carne e ossos, protease, suínos Exogenous Enzymes in Diets with Different Protein Levels and Sources for Pigs in the Nursery PeriodABSTRACT -Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the inclusion of exogenous enzymes in diets with different protein levels and sources for pigs during the nursery period. In the first experiment, 80 pigs from 21 to 51 days of age, weaned at 14 days of age, were assigned to a randomized blocks experimental design, in a 2x2x2 factorial (two protein levels; with or without meat and bone meal; with or without enzyme), with five replicates and two pigs/box, and fed a corn (C), soybean meal (SBM) and dried whey (DW)-based diets. In the second experiment, 40 pigs from 28 to 45 days of age, weaned at 21 days of age, were assigned to a randomized blocks, with four treatments, five replicates and two pigs/box, fed a control diet (C, SBM and DW-based diet with 18% crude protein -CP) and three diets with different levels of enzymatic complex (0.2, 0.4 and 0.6%). In the first experiment, no interaction was observed among protein level, presence or absence of meat and bone meal (MBM) and presence or absence of enzyme. Reduction of ADG and ADFI was observed at the dietary level of 18% CP. No effect of MBM inclusion and 0.2% enzyme in the diet was detected. In the experiment II, it was observed increasing linear effect for ADG and ADFI, as the enzyme level increase. The addition of 0.4% of exogenous e...
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different sources of phosphorus on performance, organ weight and blood parameters of pigs. One hundred and twelve pigs with body weight 28.65±2.82kg were distributed into randomized blocks, in a 8 × 2 factorial scheme (eight sources of phosphorus × two sexes), with four repetitions for males and three for females, with two animals per pen. The pigs were fed diets containing: dicalcium phosphate (DCP); monodicalcium phosphate (MCP); triple superphosphate (TS); single superphosphate (SS), Catalão-rock phosphate (ROCK), mix of sources (MIX), phosphoric acid (PAc) or a diet without any supplemental source of phosphorus (CONT). At 60 and 90kg, all pigs were weighed and blood samples were collected to determine alkaline phosphatase activity (APA), calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) and one animal per pen was killed to weigh the liver and kidneys and evaluate carcass yield. The use of diet CONT reduced the weight gain and feed intake, worsened feed:gain ratio and increased the relative weight of the kidneys, APA and Ca, and decreased blood P. The sources DCP, MCP, TS and PAc reduced the APA and maintained the P and Ca in the blood constant. Phosphorus sources TS, SS, ROCK and MIX generate similar levels of APA in pigs from 30 to 90kg to the diet without inorganic source of phosphorus without affecting their performance.
Palavras-chave: flúor, histologia osso, nutrição, resistência, soro sangüíneo Levels of Substitution of Phosphate Dicalcium by Monodicalcium in the Diets of Swine in the Growing and Finishing PhasesABSTRACT -Fifty-six pigs (average initial weight of 28.47 kg) were assigned to a randomized blocks design, in a factorial scheme 4 x 2 (levels of dicalcium phosphate substitution x sex) with four repplicates for males and three for females, with two animals per experimental unit, to evaluate the effects of replacement levels of phosphate dicalcium by phosphate monodicalcium on the performance, blood and bone parameters of swine fed during the growing (30 to 60 kg) and finishing (60 to 90 kg) phases. Corn and soybean meal based -diets with phosphorus supplemented with replacement levels of 33.33, 66.67 and 100% of phosphate dicalcium (FBC) by monodicalcium (MBC) were formulated based on the values of total phosphorus, i.e., isophosphoric (0.56 and 0.42% in the growth and finishing phases, respectively). The levels of substitution of FBC for MBC did not influence the performance, absolute and relative weight of the kidneys and liver, carcass yield and blood parameters. However, a linear decrease was observed in the ash, phosphorus and calcium contents of the bones and a lineal increase in the thickness of the compact layer and in the layer compact/periosteal relationship of the bones with the substitution of FBC by MBC. It was conclude that during the growth and finishing phases the total and/or partial substitution of phosphate dicalcium by monodicalcium does not influence the performance of the animals.Key Words...
Forty-nine male calves were allotted in a randomized design, initially seven replicates per treatment at the end of the experiment were slaughtered four animals per treatment. Treatments CONT: control diet; FBC120: Dicalcium Phosphate 120:1 ratio P: F; MBC60: Monodicalcium phosphate 60:1 ratio P:F; FBC30: Dicalcium Phosphate 30:1 ratio P:F; SFT30: Super triple phosphate 30:1 ratio P:F; FBC10: Dicalcium Phosphate 10:1 ratio P:F; CAR10: concentrated ratio of 10:1 rock Q:F. Phosphates less elaborate showed higher amounts of heavy metals. In bones, iron, aluminum and lead were higher in FBC10 diet, the copper content was higher in animals fed the diet MBC60. Magnesium in liver was higher in animals fed diet FBC30, aluminum was higher for treatments SFT30 and FBC10, FBC120 and the cadmium and lead levels were higher in animals that received STF30. Treatments did not affect phosphorus and fluorine in muscle and heart, being that chromium was higher in the muscle of animals fed diets CAR10 and STF30 while cadmium in heart was greater in diet CAR10. Kidney phosphorus was higher in the animals fed the diet CAR10 and lower dietary FBC10, while aluminum was higher in the animals fed with the diet FBC10 and lower dietary FBC120 and levels of chromium and lead were higher in animals CAR10 diet and lowest in diet MBC60. Alternative sources of phosphorus and low ratios P:F increased the deposition of minerals in bones and liver, and this mineral deposition was lower in the muscles.
