In accordance with the schedule of inspecting hydrotechnical structures of electric power stations of the RAO "EI~S Rossii" in 1995, specialized commissions conducted a centralized inspection of the condition of the structures at 20 stations, including eight hydroelectric stations. The extent and procedure of the inspection were determined by the "Regulations for the System of Sector Supervision of the Safety of Hydraulic Structures of Electric Power Stations."Centralized inspections of hydraulic structures of stations of the RAO "EF_.S Rossii" were organized by the Department of Science and Technology. The work of the commissions attracted a limited number of highly qualified specialists of research organizations having a large volume of information about the condition of structures of a particular object and representatives of territorial departments of power and electrification, power and electrification joint-stock companies (AO), AO "Firma ORGRI~S" (State Trust for the Organization and Efficiency of Regional Power Stations and Networks), and AO "OBIS" (Society for Safety of Engineering Structures), and the capabilities of representatives of hydrotectmical services and shops of power systems and stations and local affiliates of research and development organizations were used to the maximum degree. Such organization of inspections made it possible to completely fulfill the planned 1995 schedule: it permitted a substantial reduction of expenditures on conducting inspections; it increased the quality of the data composed on the basis of their results. An analysis of the results of the work of specialized commissions and reports of the inspection permits the following conclusions.
HYDROELECTRIC STATION POWERHOUSESEight hydrostations were inspected in 1995: Iriklinskii block-type hydrostation with a seven-bay concrete overflow dam. Four 7.5-MW units are installed in the powerhouse; series of Suna diversion-type hydrostations consisting of the Kondopozh hydrostation with a capacity of 14.9 MW (2 x 10.7 MW, 1 x 4.2 MW) and Pal'eozersk hydrostation with a capacity of 25 MW (2 x 12.5 MW); Novosibirsk run-of-river hydrostation (65 x 7 = 455 MW); Ust'-Khantaika hydrostation, underground powerhouse (63 • 7 = 441 MW); Zeya hydrostation, reservoir powerhouse (215 x 6 = 1290 MW); Sayano-Shushenskoe hydrostation, reservoir powerhouse (640 x I0 MW); Maina run-of-river hydrostation (107 x 3 = 321 MW).On the whole the condition of the inspected hydraulic structures and mechanical equipment was considered satisfactory, the check observations, maintenance and repairs made by the operating personnel provide an operable, safe condition of the powerhouses and their equipment. At the same time an analysis of the data of inspecting the structures of the powerhouses shows that many of them have common problems requiring immediate solution:
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations –citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
