The objectives of this study are to: (1) Producing character building based on North Sumatra local wisdom through orchestral learning in Music Education Study Program, Unimed; (2) Producing orchestral learning that can shape the character of students in the Music Education Study Program; (3) Producing characters that are formed through orchestral learning in Music Education Study Program, Unimed. It is expected that the existence of research on the topic of orchestral learning in Music Education Study Program, Unimed can shape character based on local wisdom in North Sumatra
The results of this study are: (1) The contents of teaching materials, are at an achievement of 88% with a valid category; (2)Constructor, achieving 84% with a valid category; (3) Language, on the achievement of 82.50 with a valid category (4) Display of teaching materials, on the achievement of 88% with a valid category. The results of the assessment of students consisted of: (1) the display of teachingmaterials was at an achievement of 87.87% with the practical category; (2) user convenience isat 85.52 with a practical category; (3) effectiveness in achieving 67.18 with a very practicalcategory; (4) time effectiveness, in the achievement of 84.69 with the practical category, with anaverage value of achievement of 86.31 with the practical category.
The textbook developed in this study is adapted to the 2013 curriculum applicable in SMA, namely the material in class X. The material is adapted to the local wisdom of North Sumatra, especially in traditional Karo songs and music. This textbook describes the traditional Karo music in the form of a kulcapi drum ensemble whose instruments consist of kulcapi, keteng-keteng and bowl. This textbook is equipped with techniques in playing the kulcapi drum on the song Piso Surit and Terang Bulan. The existence of this textbook is very helpful for Cultural Arts teachers in teaching music based on local wisdom of North Sumatera.
Pengembangan musikalitas melalui bunyi-bunyi alam sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan musikalitas yang dimilikinya, khususnya dalam mengembangkan melodi, irama dan harmoni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan musikalitas mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Musik melalui bunyi-bunyi alam yang ada di sekitarnya. Bunyi-bunyi alam tersebut terlebih dahulu diobservasi, diidentifikasi, kemudian membuat imitasi berdasarkan unsur-unsur musikalitasnya (melodi, irama, harmoni), memainkan dan mengkreasikannya menjadi satu komposisi musik. Melalui pengembangan musikalitas dengan bunyi-bunyi alam, kemudian mahasiswa mengeluarkan ide-ide kreatifnya dengan mewujudkan bunyi-bunyi yang didengarnya. Kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan bunyi-bunyi alam dapat dilihat dari menemukan topik atau gagasan, menemukan suara alam sebagai sumber bunyi, mengkomposisikannya menjadi enak untuk didengar dan diapresiasikan kepada orang lain. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada khazanah ilmu pengetahuan khususnya di bidang kajian Pendidikan musik.
This research is entitled Simalungun Ethnic-Based Music Art Learning in Website Applications. The problem in this research is the unavailability of cultural arts learning materials in vocational schools, especially traditional music of North Sumatra, therefore the objectives of this research are to: (1) compile Simalungun ethnic-based music art materials in the form of documents; (2) uploading Simalungun ethnic-based music art materials in audio-visual form to the website application. This research method uses a qualitative approach, data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study formulated that the material prepared for learning the art of music was Sulim Simalungun learning in the form of audio-visual. The Sulim Simalungun Learning Video produced in this study describes the technique in playing Sulim Simalungun in stages, both the technique of playing Sulim in general and the typical technique of playing Sulim Simalungun. urthermore, the VCD of Sulim Simalungun learning is uploaded to the website with the blog https://pembelajaransulimsimalungun. blogspot.com/, so that Musical Arts learning is used.
