The present study consists in reporting the clinical case of apatient with panfacial fracture, with an emergency surgical approach toperform rigid internal fixation for patient rehabilitation. Case description:A 46-year-old male patient, victim of an automobile accident, was admittedto the emergency department of the Hospital Geral do Estado daBahia (HGE-BA), attending multiple fractures in the face. The approachwas planned under general anesthesia and orotracheal intubation withsubmental shunt, due to anterior skull fracture, fracture of the nasal bones and the need for maxillomandibular block in the trans-surgical. Patient followed postoperatively, evolving with satisfactory facial projection, stable occlusion, good nasal permeability, and no dentofacial deformity. Conclusions: Panfacial fractures are challenging, and their surgical planningmust be established aiming at the adequate positioning of fracturedfragments and preservation of facial anatomical structures, restoring functionand ensuring a minimum of sequelae for the patient.
