<p class="0abstract"><strong>Abstract—</strong> Information technology encourages various forms of organizations to always adapt to changes so that they can sustain their business for a long time. Higher education institutions are organizational entities required to use information technology to support existing business processes. This study aims to examine the extent to which information technology resources have an influence on innovation performance in higher education. Quantitative research methods are used to determine this influence by involving 97 respondents who work in higher education institutions in Garut, Indonesia, besides processing and modeling research using SmartPLS. The results of the analysis show that information technology resources have an essential role in creating innovation performance improvement in higher education institutions, especially in terms of product innovation. The research was conducted only at private universities in Garut Regency. Therefore, further research involving universities in a nationwide scope is recommended. The results of this study imply that it is necessary for universities, which are expected to be ready for changes, to involve information technology in the creation of innovation in order for them to survive. The effect of information technology resources on the performance of innovation in private universities in Garut Regency has never been studied before; therefore, we consider that our study provides a novel contribution to the field.</p>
Dalam era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0 peran dan posisi Teknologi Informasi menjadi sangat vital bagi setiap organisasi dimana teknologi informasi menjadi strategi bisnis yang dapat menjada eksistensi sebuah organisasi, tak terkecuali Perguruan Tinggi Swasta. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui pengaruh teknologi informasi terhadap iklim organisasi perguruan tinggi swasta di Kabupaten Garut serta dampaknya terhadap komitmen organisasi pada lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Selain itu penelitian ini memiliki urgensi untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peranan teknologi informasi ditengah-tengah organisasi yang belum optimal menerapkan Teknologi tersebut sebagai alat pendukung dalam proses bisnis di perguruan tinggi swasta. Metodologi Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian desrkiptif dan verifikatif. Penelitian deskriptif bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran atau karakteristik dari suatu variabel, dalam hal ini variabel teknologi informasi, iklim organisasi perguruan tinggi dan komitmen organisasi perguruan tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara teknologi informasi pada iklim organisasi di perguruan tinggi swasta, selain itu juga terdapat dampak yang signifikan terhap komitmen yang dibangun oleh perguruan tinggi swasta di Kabupaten Garut. All business entities, including private universities, have always to deal with changes in their environment. One of the keys to address such changes is digital technology. The present study examines the extent to which corporate culture affects the implementation of a digital transformation strategy in private universities. Data were collected through a survey addressed to 39 top management executives from different private universities in Garut, West Java, Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out by means of SmartPLS. The results showed that corporate culture in private universities had a significant effect on the implementation of digital transformation strategy in their organizations. This is associated with factors other than technological aspects such as human resources, behavior, and organizational culture.
Anticipating the era of Society 5.0, communities and organizations are required to have integrated and comprehensive information access, including the management of mosques in Indonesia. This study aims at providing a strategic planning in the form of a portfolio for future application of mosques management information system services. This study was conducted with reference to Ward and Peppard’s strategic plan for information systems, which included SWOT analysis, critical success factor method and McFarlan’s strategic grid. The results showed the mosque management must have several applications, mapped into 4 quadrants (strategic, high potential, key operation, and support). It is expected that this application portfolio can help managers of mosques in Indonesia provide faster, more accurate, and more accountable information.
This paper examines willingness to pay extra money for domestic flight low-cost carrier airline in covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, the goal of this research is to investigate the level of willingness to pay, measured by perceived passengers and perceived prices. This study found that only perceived prices for domestic flight low-cost carrier airline in Covid-19 pandemic showed has a statistically significant impact on willingness to pay extra money has a value 85 percent. In addition, the key topics for willingness to pay are enjoyfull, agreeableness, brave, comfortable, easy going and confidence. Future studies, with the data of specific not only LCC Airlines Companies are encouraged to explore this issue.
As the city of dodol, Garut is also famous for its most excellent barbers. A lot of barbers in Indonesia originate from this city, precisely from a village called Kampung Parung, Banyuresmi Subdistrict. After finishing high schools, most teenagers from the village go to big cities to start barbershop businesses instead of joining universities. Some open their barbershops in Garut and its surrounding area. In general, barbershop has been a long-established entrepreneurial culture in the village. The purpose of this study therefore is to determine how entrepreneurial culture is established and how it affects the organizational climate of barbershop business. A survey was conducted with 77 barbers in Garut, and the results show that family and economy have a significant influence on the entrepreneurial culture. Additionally, entrepreneurial culture positively contributes to the establishment of an organizational climate of barbershop business. Education is not considered to be of much importance to the Garutian barbers.
Technology and the internet are two things that cannot be separated in the digital age. Both become tools that can encourage various sectors, for example the economy, communication, transportation including charity activities. Considering that Indonesia is a country that has mutual cooperation principles, the kitabisa.com platform was created to facilitate the community in carrying out social activities. If previously the activity of charity is done directly, after the innovation platform for charity activities can be done online. This study aimed to determine the effect of platform innovation on the intention to make donations. The research method used to test the research hypothesis is quantitative descriptive Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Data obtained through filling out questionnaires by 100 respondents who already have an account kitabisa.com. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that platform innovation influences the intention to make donations at a 95% confidence level. As an innovation, kitabisa.com platform has succeeded in changing people's behaviour in doing charity activity.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) heavily rely on innovation, which plays a very important role in their competitive advantage and business performance. The present study examines to what extent product innovations and business relationships have an impact on SME performance. The samples were 37 small and medium-scale leather industries in Garut, Indonesia. The results of data analysis showed that product innovations had a significant positive impact on SME performance, so did business relationships. This finding provides an empirical information particularly useful for related parties to determine proper competitive strategies.
