With a large population and high consumer interest in local culinary, Indonesia becomes a potential market for small and medium-sized local culinary enterprises. However, most of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in culinary sector face a wide range of challenges especially when it comes to huge promotion costs. Fortunately, the ever-increasing numbers of Internet users in Indonesia provides an opportunity for these SMEs to promote their products through Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM). E-WOM can provide solutions for them since it has a quick and wide promotion reach. The purpose of this study is to find out the influencing factors of E-WOM on consumers' perceived quality and purchase decisions. This study used a descriptive and verification method. The samples include 76 followers of Instagram accounts of the local culinary enterprises based in Garut, Indonesia chosen using the probability, simple random sampling technique. To find out the influencing factors of E-WOM on the brand image, the data were analyzed using SPSS confirmatory factor analysis. Factors that are formed from the results of the analysis are product information and Emotions. In addition, a PLS method was carried out to explore the influence factors of E-WOM on consumers' purchase intention using SmartPLS software. Based on PLS calculation, it can be concluded that E-WOM has positive influence on purchase intention.
Information system technology and learning organization play a strategic role in the development of small leather industry performance. Even so, most of small leather industries in Garut assume that technology is a big investment that cannot have a direct impact on business performance. This study applied a quantitative explanatory survey method. The samples were 95 tanners in both formal and home industries located in Sukaregang, Garut, West Java. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the application of information system technology had a positive impact on the innovation ability of leather tanning products. On the other hand, the learning organization had no effect on the product innovation ability. Nevertheless, both information system technology and learning organization directly affected the business performance.
Dalam memaksimalkan kinerjanya perguruan tinggi saat ini perlu menyesuaikan implementasi teknologi informasi pada setiap proses bisnisnya. Salah satunya adalah perlu adanya sebuah portofolio aplikasi informasi yang merupakan hasil dari analisis perencanaan strategis system informasi pada lingkungan perguruan tinggi swasta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merumuskan rencana strategis system informasi pada lingkungan Institut Pendidikan Indonesia berupa portofolio aplikasi / system informasi untuk dimasa yang akan datang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian menggunakan tahapan-tahapan ward & peppard. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Institut Pendidikan Indonesia perlu mengadakan sebanyak 25 aplikasi/system infromasi yang tergambar pada 4 kuadran di portofolio aplikasi. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil tersebut, Institut Pendidikan Indonesia diharapkan memiliki keunggalan daya saing serta keunggulan proses bisnis yang berkelanjutan
Strategi Perencanaan sistem informasi diperlukan sebagai bagian dari perencanaan strategis sebuah perusahaan. Perencaan strategi sitem informasi ini disusun sebagai strategi untuk memenangkan persaingan sehingga kinerja bisnis UKM akan meningkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merumuskan strategi untuk menggambarkan tujuan sistem dan arsitektur teknologi yang akan diimplementasikan di UKM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode Strategic Planning Information System (SPIS) Versi John Ward dan Joe Peppard(Ward & Peppard). Hasil dari perencanaan sistem teknologi informasi dapat bermanfaat bagi pelaku UKM untuk bagaimana mendayagunkan informasi secara baik bagi organisasinya. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut UKM harus memiliki kemampuan dalam penerapan teknologi informasi sehingga menjadi sebuah inovasi untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya.
Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) of Batik play strategic roles such as a substance, a mover, and a buffer of the nation's economy and supporting the national economic growth sustainably. However, these SMEs have not been able to compete in both national and international levels. This is caused by the low rate of knowledge-creation. In line with this, this study aims to reveal how the knowledge-creation can create the competition atmosphere of the SMEs with the support from technology and entrepreneurship orientation. Additionally, the methodology employed in this study was explanatory survey design, with 286 Batik business units as sample. More specifically, the sampling technique to select the target area was non-probability in form of purposive sampling. The data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Further, the result of this study reveals that knowledge-creation influences on creating the business competition atmosphere with the support of the technology and entrepreneurship and orientation. Based on the research finding, SMEs Batik finds it difficult to organize the collection of Explicit Knowledge into a more systematic media, due to the lack of media infrastructure to keep the knowledge. In addition, technology adoption is not necessary for handmade batik by considering that handmade batik relies on personal skill.
<p class="0abstract"><strong>Abstract—</strong> Information technology encourages various forms of organizations to always adapt to changes so that they can sustain their business for a long time. Higher education institutions are organizational entities required to use information technology to support existing business processes. This study aims to examine the extent to which information technology resources have an influence on innovation performance in higher education. Quantitative research methods are used to determine this influence by involving 97 respondents who work in higher education institutions in Garut, Indonesia, besides processing and modeling research using SmartPLS. The results of the analysis show that information technology resources have an essential role in creating innovation performance improvement in higher education institutions, especially in terms of product innovation. The research was conducted only at private universities in Garut Regency. Therefore, further research involving universities in a nationwide scope is recommended. The results of this study imply that it is necessary for universities, which are expected to be ready for changes, to involve information technology in the creation of innovation in order for them to survive. The effect of information technology resources on the performance of innovation in private universities in Garut Regency has never been studied before; therefore, we consider that our study provides a novel contribution to the field.</p>
Changes in tourist behavior encourage the Indonesian tourism industries to adapt to the era of industrial revolution. Tourism 4.0 becomes a new competitive advantage in winning tourism competition in the global market. The purpose of this study is to describe E-WOM in the context of tourism 4.0. To collect data, an online survey was addressed to 113 respondents. Our findings lead to a conclusion that tourism industries should strive to develop digital products so to influence consumer purchase decisions.
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematika tingkat tinggi yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik. Selain itu kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis jarang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi alternatif bagi pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah model pembelajaran IMPROVE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen karena penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol sebagai subyek penelitian. Cara pengambilan subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian dipilih sebanyak dua kelas dari keseluruhan peserta didik kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Dari hasil penelitian dan perhitungan statistik diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE; 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dan yang menggunakan model konvensional/direct instruction.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Model IMPROVEABSTRACT This research is motivated by the fact that the ability to understand and the ability to solve mathematical problems is one of the high-level mathematical abilities that must be possessed by every student. In addition, the ability to understand and the ability to solve mathematical problems are rarely applied in mathematics learning in schools. One learning model that can be an alternative for mathematics learning and mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities is the IMPROVE learning model. This study aims to determine the application of ispring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model to improve students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities. The research method used is quasi-experimental because this study uses one experimental class and one control class as research subjects. The method of taking the research subject used was purposive sampling. The research subjects were selected as many as two classes from all grade XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi in the 2019/2020 academic year. From the results of research and statistical calculations conclusions: 1) There is an increase in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model; 2) There is an increase in the ability of understanding and solving mathematical problems of students who in learning use conventional learning models / direct instruction; 3) There is an increase in students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities in learning using i-spring suite 8 in the IMPROVE learning model compared to students in learning using conventional learning models / direct instruction; 4) There is no difference in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model and who use the conventional model / direct instruction.Keywords: Mathematical Understanding Ability, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, IMPROVE Model
