In today's digital world, computer security issues have become increasingly important. In particular, researchers have proposed designs for secure processors which utilize hardware-based memory encryption and integrity verification to protect the privacy and integrity of computation even from sophisticated physical attacks. However, currently proposed schemes remain hampered by problems that make them impractical for use in today's computer systems: lack of virtual memory and Inter-Process Communication support as well as excessive storage and performance overheads. In this paper, we propose 1) Address Independent Seed Encryption (AISE), a counter-mode based memory encryption scheme using a novel seed composition, and 2) Bonsai Merkle Trees (BMT), a novel Merkle Tree-based memory integrity verification technique, to eliminate these system and performance issues associated with prior counter-mode memory encryption and Merkle Tree integrity verification schemes. We present both a qualitative discussion and a quantitative analysis to illustrate the advantages of our techniques over previously proposed approaches in terms of complexity, feasibility, performance, and storage. Our results show that AISE+BMT reduces the overhead of prior memory encryption and integrity verification schemes from 12% to 2% on average, while eliminating critical system-level problems.
This study aims to look at the perception of Physical Education students using e-learning in the learning process. Type of quantitative descriptive research. The research location was carried out in the Physical Education Study Program FKIP Universitas Islam Riau. While the sample in this study was a class of 2017/2018 students totaling 155 people, with a total sampling technique. The stages of the research were carried out in three stages, namely: (1) pre-field; (2) field work; and (3) data analysis. Data collection techniques using attitude scale questionnaire. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistics, these statistics are intended to collect data, present data and determine value. The results of the study are outlined in 4 categories: strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. Based on the data analysis that has been done 98% of students agree to use e-learning in learning, it can be concluded that students' perceptions about the use of e-learning as a technology-based learning media really provide convenience to improve the quality of their learning, because e-learning is easily accessed anytime without being limited space and time. In terms of the content available on e-learning as well as the usefulness of e-learning in the learning process, it is very easy for students to find information, discuss online, and upload assignments and can save student costs in printing the paper assignments given by their lecturers.
: Purpose: This research paper discusses the implementation of Tri Hita Karana in the development and management of traditional Balinese homestays in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: The qualitative research which data are obtained through observation, literature study, and in-depth interviews with several informants, namely observers of Balinese cultural tourism and owners and managers of homestays in Ubud. Findings: Traditional Balinese homestays in Ubud are buildings where local residents live in the form of umah "pondok" or new buildings that are prepared for tourists. They are built with a traditional Balinese architectural model that refers to the Tri Mandala and Tri Hita Karana philosophy that reflect the harmonious relationship between humans and God (parahyangan), humans and each other (pawongan), and humans and their environment (palemahan). Implications: The existence of traditional homestay in Ubud that are able to support the sustainability of tourism development in Bali needs to be maintained.
Abstract; In general, multinational companies that have affiliated relationships make transfer pricing policies. There are various motivations related to the transfer pricing policy This research aims to analyze the causal correlation of tax, exchange rate, and leverage on transfer pricing with foreign ownership as moderator. The research population is companies from manufacturing sector that listed on the IDX year 2017 until 2019. The sample of this research is 52 companies from manufacturing sector that were chosen based on purposive sampling, with the criteria of companies that have foreign ownership. The method of this research is a quantitative method, with panel data regression analysis. The results of this research are exchange rate and leverage have positive effect on transfer pricing, while tax has no effect on transfer pricing. Foreign ownership as a moderator wasn’t able to moderate the effect of tax, exchange rate, and leverage on transfer pricing. The implication of the research is that the dominant motives that trigger companies to do transfer pricing are exchange rates and leverage, not tax incentives. If the exchange rate increases, the company will sell to countries whose currency exchange rates strengthen so that the price of products/services will be cheaper and able to compete. Keywords: Tax, Exchange Rate, Leverage, Transfer Pricing, Foreign Ownership
