Pengenalan citra digital merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam computer vision yang menerapkan pattern recognition. Pengenalan citra digital bertujuan untuk menduplikasi kemampuan manusia dalam memahami informasi citra sehingga komputer dapat mengenali objek pada citra selayaknya manusia. Salah satu metode pattern recognition adalah Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). Extreme Learning Machine merupakan jaringan syaraf tiruan feedforward dengan satu hidden layer atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah single hidden layer feedforward neural networks (SLFNs). Extreme Learning Machine untuk pengenalan objek citra digital pada Tugas Akhir ini terdiri dari 2500 node pada input layer, 1250 node pada hidden layer, dan 3 node pada output layer. Dataset dikelompokkan berdasarkan ukuran objek dalam citra. Hasil uji coba dan evaluasi model dengan data testing menghasilkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 57,33% pada citra dengan objek berukuran kecil, 81,33% pada citra dengan objek berukuran sedang, dan 74,67% pada citra dengan objek berukuran besar.
Every year, there are 500.000 new cases and more than 250.000 deaths caused by cervical cancerworldwide. Cervical cancer patients faced physical and psychological problems several times that it activate stress mechanism such as hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. These recurrent activations caused HPA axis disruption and adverse clinical effects. Several symptoms of endocrine stress response are the change of circadian cortisol rhythm. Cortisol is known as a stress hormone that involves an organism's response to stress and anxiety that influence the quality of life. This research aims to analyze the differences among serum cortisol level, anxiety, and quality of life in cervical cancer patients before and after psychocurative intervention in obstetrics and gynecology wards and polyclinic in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This research is an experimental double-blind randomized controlled clinical trial pre-test post-test group design study. The subjects were advance stage (IIB-IV)cervical cancer patients. The subjects were randomly chosen into fifteen subjects that given standard therapy and psychocurative, while the other fifteen subjects as a control only got standard therapy. Data were obtained from measurement of serum cortisol level, anxiety questionnaire DASS 42 and WHO quality of life questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 using difference test. The difference mean test result of cortisol serum level, anxiety, quality of life from the controlled group and uncontrolled group showed a significant difference (p < 0.05). In conclusion, psychocurative is significant to reduce cortisol level, anxiety, and improve the quality of life in advanced stage cervical cancer patients.
BACKGROUND: Cisplatin is one of the most potent chemotherapy drugs to treat various types of cancer, however the use of cisplatin has some the adverse effect, such as the increase of oxidative stress and inflammation by malondialdehyde (MDA) and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) activation. Since the dosing of cisplatin is critical, we observed the effect of single and multiple doses of cisplatin injection on rats’ inflammation and oxidative stress level.METHODS: Total of 27 male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 9 sub-groups, each consisted of 3 rats. The baseline sub-group received no treatments; Group 1 (sub-group 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4) were administered one single dose of 5 mg/kg BW/intravenously (i.v) of cisplatin; and Group 2 (sub-group 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4) were given 0.2 mg/kg BW/i.v of cisplatin twice a week for two months. Rats were observed for their body weight, NF-kB, and MDA level based on the assigned group. RESULTS: Body weight loss was observed in the 1st week after treatment for Group 1, and 7th week for Group 2. Group 1 and Group 2 showed increasing level of NF-kB and MDA since the 1st observation, which was the 1st week and 5th week, respectively. NF-kB and MDA and levels were also significantly increasing in both groups for every week of observation (p<0.05).CONCLUSION: Cisplatin injection either in single or divided dose can induce inflammation and oxidative stress thus decrease the body weight. However, dividing cisplatin in smaller dose can delay the inflammation effect on subjects.KEYWORDS: cisplatin dose, MDA, NF-kB, body weight, inflammation, oxidative stress
