This study aims to analyze and understand the use of the pedatren application system as a response to the modernization of the Nurul Jadid Islamic boarding school, Paiton, Probolinggo in improving the quality of its services. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The data collection technique is done through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis begins with data presentation, data reduction and ends with concluding. Kota Pasuruan berada di jalur utama pantai utara yang menghubungkan Pulau Jawa dengan Pulau Madura yang menjadikannya sebagai kota dengan prospek ekonomi yang besar di kawasan Indonesia bagian Timur. Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) mengandung berbagai zat terlarut (baik itu zat organik, anorganik, atau material lainnya) yang terlarut dalam air dan kadar TDS mempengaruhi kekeruhan air sehingga jika terlalu tinggi akan mengganggu biota laut dan dapat menyebabkan sedimentasi. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, diperlukan usaha untuk memantau persebaran Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) di pesisir pantai Pasuruan dengan menggunakan citra satelit Terra Modis dan juga pengambilan sampel di lapangan langsung yaitu di pesisir pantai Kota Pasuruan, Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa citra satelit Terra Modis panjang gelombang 667 nm dengan model Algoritma Logarithmic TDS(mg/l) = -6995ln(x) – 31459 dapat digunakan untuk menghitung kadar TDS dikarenakan hasil dari uji T memenuhi syarat maka dari itu penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam memetakan sebaran Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) dan juga untuk memantau kenaikan maupun penurunan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) sehingga dapat memberi solusi yang tepat dalam pengambilan keputusan.
Porosity soil is well known as soil properties and an indicator of the quality of soil. Applying porosity test in coastland area of Sampang District is highly needed, considering that the livelihoods of the people in Sampang are mostly farmers and also the development of village has recently grown rapidly. In this study, the mathematical model of porosity would be obtained by using the data of surface reflectance Aqua Modis. Using the Aqua Modis can provide an overview of porosity value in all over Madura Island that can be used as reference and as actual data in designing structures (road pavement) in the future. The porosity value were processed with three bands that have wavelength 445 mm, 530 mm and 665 mm. The experimental result shows that most of soil type on coastland area of Sampang is fine sand. The most optimum regression from the mathematical model was exponential model with regression = 0.2911. This result showed that applying global mapping with satellite image data was able to provide an overview of porosity value in Sampang District. This data plays an important role in the future for increasing the quality of soil and also as a reference for construction design.
