Este trabalho tem por objetivo colaborar nas discussões curriculares para o ensino de matemática evocando as teorias críticas e pós-modernas como forma de questionamento das tradições de conteúdo e metodologias. Considera-se a atualidade da pandemia mundial provocada pelo vírus COVID-19 e os poucos ou inexistentes debates para a construção da Base Nacional Comum Curricular e a Reforma do Ensino Médio, que no momento colocam em xeque o êxito das propostas diante da fragilidade dos sistemas educacionais públicos no que concerne às ferramentas e conhecimentos para aulas e ensino remoto. Apresenta-se, outrossim, atividade remota no ensino de matemática como forma de ilustrar possibilidades.
Como parte de tese de doutoramento em Políticas Educacionais, desenvolvida na Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM) e das pesquisas do Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação a Distância e Tecnologias Educacionais (GPEaDTEC), este trabalho tem como objetivo questionar a presença da Educação a Distância (EaD) na Reforma do Ensino Médio, como parte de receituário falacioso, que atende uma perspectiva de mercado e não a necessidade e realidade da Educação Básica. Para tanto, utilizando um percurso historicista, a EaD é apresentada como resultado histórico-social do trabalho humano no contexto das tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação, que consequentemente chegam à escola. O Ensino Médio é abordado também em sua essência como fase estratégica e fundamental da formação, o que não corresponde ao reducionismo dos itinerários formativos propostos. A análise de aspectos da Lei nº13.415/2017 e Resolução nº3/2018, apontam para a abertura e exploração mercadológica, da modalidade e da etapa.
