[RELATIONSHIP OF STUDENTS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTS WITH STUDENTS LEARNING INTEREST IN THE CHEMISTRY SUBJECTS AT SMA NEGERI 1 TEBAT KARAI AND SMA NEGERI 1 KEPAHIANG] This study aims to measure the significance of relationships of interest in learning chemistry with the result of chemical learning students in class X IPA residing in SMA Negeri 1 Tebat Karai and a in SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang at 2016/2017 academic year.. The research is the correlation research. The population in this research is the whole class of X IPA grade in SMAN 1 Tebat Karai and SMAN 1 Kepahiang at 2016/2017 academic year with total population 218 students who at was a total sample of research. Data collection techniques in the study used the instruments form of the interest in learning chemistry. Data analysis tested using correlation analysis, test validity, reliability, linear regression and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis of the data obtained to the conclusion that there was a significant positive relationship between interest in study with the results of the study chemistry well in SMA Negeri 1 Tebat Karai and SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang, indicated from the value of F test is greater than F table (30.225 > 3.885) with contributions amounting to 76.4% with the most significant influence indicator is an understanding of the concept of the learning materials with the value of the average correlation of 0,377, 14. From the results of research conducted obtained the conclusion that that interest in learning affects student learning results in class X SMA Negeri 1 Tebat Karai and SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang.
Penerapan 3R atau reuse, reduce dan recycle sampah merupakan salah satu program terbaik dalam rangka pelestarian lingkungan hidup karena mengedepankan penanganan sampah dari sumbernya. Akan tetapi ternyata pengolahan sampah dengan sistem pemilahan sampah belum terlaksana secara terpadu. Sampah yang sudah dipilah sejak level rumah tangga belum tentu akan ditangani secara terpisah ketika telah sampai di tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA). Inilah yang terjadi pada kebanyakan TPA di Indonesia. Pemotongan alur distribusi sampah menuju TPA adalah cara yang efektif dan mempercepat pemrosesan sampah menjadi produk yang lebih bermanfaat. Cara efektif tersebut dapat direalisasikan melalui pembuatan eco-enzyme yang dapat diterapkan pada level rumah tangga. Dengan adanya pembuatan eco-enzyme maka akan mewujudkan eco-enzyme yang merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang sadar lingkungan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui 2 (dua) kegiatan utama: 1) Pelatihan pengolahan sampah melalui pembuatan eco-enzyme, 2) Focus Group Discussion pembentukan eco-community guru-guru Kimia Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMAN 5 Kota Bengkulu yang diikuti oleh 23 Orang Guru Kimia yang tergabunga dalam MGMP Kimia Kota Bengkulu. Para peserta kegiatan sangat antusias dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan, karena sampah organic yang selama ini dibiarkan begitu saja. Namun dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini, guru-guru kimia terutama Ibu-Ibu dapat memanfaatkan limbah tersebut dan menjadikannya eco-enzym. Manfaat yang bisa diperoleh dengan adanya eco enzyme yakni untuk mencuci pakaian, pembersih kamar mandi, hand sanitizer, pembersih lantai serta pembersih pestisida pada buah dan sayur.
[ANALYSIS OF THE CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY FROM CHEMICAL SUBJECTS IN STUDENTS OF CLASS XI IPA SMAN 1 KEPAHIANG] This research aims to know the critical thinking ability of students. Type of this research is descriptive research using quantitative methods. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang on September 2 to 8 may in 2017. The population in this research is the entire class XI IPA are registered on the even-numbered school year 2016/2017 semester. As the samples are taken at class XI IPA 6 of 32 participants. Data collection is done with the test in the form of reserved descriptions as much as 10 round the whole includes indicators of critical thinking from the taxonomy of Bloom that is level (C2) understand (C3), apply (C4), analyzing and evaluating (C5). Test results obtained from the analysis of results the percentage of students with the ability to answer a question of thinking very critically at 15,6%, quite critical at 53,2 %, and less critical at 31,2 %, with an average value of 61.81. From the average of the values obtained showed that students who have average value included in the category of being. Based on the analysis of the data collected can be inferred levels of critical thinking ability of the students in class XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang at school 2016/2017 academic year can be grouped in a category group are of 53,2 %, middle , 15,6 % at high group and 31,2 % at low groups. From the results, it can be concluded that overall students in grades at XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang even 2016/2017 academic year with the ability to enough think critically.
The purpose of this research was to investigate the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model by using Edmodo application media to improve the quality of the teaching learning process organic chemistry 1 course. This research was a classroom action research and conducted in 3 cycles, where each cycle consisted of several stages, namely: planning, implementation, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this study were observation and test sheets collected from lecturers' and student's observation. The results show that application of TPS type of cooperative learning model by using Edmodo application media can improve the student's learning outcomes in organic chemistry course that can be seen from the average of the value of cycle 1, 2 and 3 (56.58; 80.54; and 89.73, respectively). Student learning activities also increased gradually from the first to third cycle, of which the student's average scores of cycle 1, 2, and 3 were 29.5; 33; 36.5, respectively.
The aim of this study is to determine the misconceptions of Chemistry Mathematics course participants during online learning in Chemistry Education Study Program, University of Bengkulu in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research starts with an online learning process for 4 meeting using Zoom meeting application and Google Classroom using synchronous and asynchronous methods. The method used to detect misconceptions is to provide a Three tier multiple choice diagnostic test consisting of multiple choice question, clear reasons in the form of an essay, and the level of confidence in answering and giving reasons. The tool used in this research is attest tool in the form of a diagnostic test and non-test tool in the form of an interview. Data collection techniques were conducted through test sheets in the form of a Google Forms application and short interviews about diagnostic tests in the form of videos. Data analysis was conducted on response options, reasons, and confidence in responding. The results showed that online learning had an impact on the misconceptions about Chemistry Mathematics course participants with a range of 0-50% where the highest misconception identification results were found in the application of inverse trigonometric functions by 50%,while 0% misconceptions were obtained in the basic concepts of algebraic functions and conversion of rational equations into a partial fractions.
This study aims to determine the feasibility, student response and effectiveness of buffer solution modules based on the integrated STEM approach developed. This research is a development research adapted from the development model of Borg and Gall. The study was conducted in January - April 2019 at SMAN 09 Kota Bengkulu. The research data were obtained from the results of interviews, validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and understanding tests. The selection of the trial class was carried out through a normality test for all class XI MIPA with a total subject of 111 students. The results of the trial were obtained by two respondent classes namely XI MIPA 1 for trial use and XI MIPA 2 for product testing with a total of 38 students. The results of the validation test obtained an average assessment of material experts 4.3 and 4.7 media experts who were both in the range of 4,2 ? < 5 with a very valid classification. In product testing and usage tests, the average score of students' responses was 4.3 with a very interesting classification. The effectiveness of the module is seen from the understanding test with the percentage of student learning completeness of 86.21% reaching the KKM which is categorized as effective. So it can be concluded that, in general, the module based on the solution based on the STEM approach developed can be used in the learning process in class XI MIPA SMAN 09 Kota Bengkulu in the academic year 2018/2019.
Cooperative learning model is one learning model of activities and interactions between students to motivate each other and help each other in mastering subject matter to achieve maximum achievement. This research was conducted in n cycles. Each cycle is carried out by the changes to be achieved starting from initial reflection to returning to analysis and reflection. The average value of students has increased in each cycle of 50.75 in cycle 1, then increased in cycle 2 that is equal to 52.2 and cycle 3 to 72.75. teacher activity during the chemistry learning process in the classroom for each cycle using the type cooperative learning model with greeting and questions techniques continued to increase namely from an average score of 30 to 34.5 and increased very well in the cycle to 3 which is equal to 42 with good criteria while for student activity the average score of 26 to 31.5 and increased very well in the third cycle that is equal to 39 with good criteria. The conclusion is that the implementation of cooperative learning model with greeting and question techniques can improve the learning outcomes and activities of students in SMA 1 Bengkulu.
The problem of learning process that often occur in classroom that the use of conventional learning method. This makes the lack of student activeness in the process and makes the students' low learning outcomes . So that researchers interested in finding variations of teaching by combining the learning model with instructional media. The use of this media is taken into consideration from its practicality, strength, and effectiveness. The type of research used is quasi experimental research with population class XI IPA in SMAN 8 Bengkulu and sample is class XI IPA 2 and class XI IPA 3. The sample in this research is by applying smart card media for experiment class 1 (XI IPA 3) With the experimental class 2 (XI IPA 2) using smart steering card media on salt hydrolysis topics. Data analysis used are mean value, homogeneity test, normality test, t test and questionnaire analysis. The average value of posttest experiment class I is 76.875, while for experimental class II is 80,85. Then t test with significant level (? = 0,01), then got tcount value equal to 5,41 and 2,39 for table . The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between the smart card media class and the smart media grade of the steering wheel on the salt hydrolysis topics.
