Makan sirih adalah bagian yang melengkapi struktur kebudayaan dan biasanya erat dengan kebiasaan yang terdapat pada masyarakat di daerah tertentu, International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) menyebutkan bahwa menyirih berdampak pada kesehatan dan berpotensi menyebabkan kanker. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui “pengaruh budaya makan sirih terhadap penyakit periodontal pada masyarakat di desa Tanjung Medan Kecamatan Bilah Barat Labuhan Batu. Desain penelitian ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat yang berada di desa Tanjung Medan Kecamatan Bilah Barat Labuhan Batu dengan populasi 880 jiwa dengan 46 sampel metode total sampling, waktu penelitian pada tanggal 24 Desember 2015 dan instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran penyakit periodontal. Analisis secara univariat ditampilkan dengan tabel distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi-square dengan kepercayaan 95% α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan frekuensi menyirih per hari terhadap penyakit periodontitis, p=0,027, terdapat hubungan waktu menyirih per hari terhadap penyakit periodontitis, p=0,017, terdapat hubungan yang bermakna kompsisi menyirih terhadap penyakit periodontitis, p=0,001 dan disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh frekuensi, waktu dan komposisi makan sirih terhadap penyakit periodontal.
This research aimed to identify misconceptions and causes of misconceptions in class XI MIPA students on the concept of acidbase at SMAN 6 Bengkulu City for the 2019/2020 academic year. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 6 Bengkulu City with a total sample of 50 students. The instrument used was a diagnostic test instrument in the form of essays accompanied by the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method, questionnaires and diagnostic interviews. The results showed that students' misconceptions on acid-base material with an overall percentage of misconceptions were 25.38%. The highest misconception occurred in the sub-concept determining the degree of acidity, namely 36.6% and the lowest misconception occurred in the sub-concept of analyzing the acid-base reaction equation of bronsted lowry, which was 13.3%. Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews, the causes of student misconceptions came from internal and external factors. Internal factors come from students such as student associative thinking, incorrect student appreciation and intuition, lack of student abilities, low motivation and student interest in learning during the learning process, student learning methods, and student confidence levels in CRI scores and external factors such as learning methods. used and the limitations of learning resources.
The purpose of this study was to predict seasonal time series data using the Holt-Winters exponential smoothing additive model. The data used in this study is data on the number of passengers departing at Hasanudin Airport in 2009-2019, the source of the data obtained from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency. The results showed that the Holt-Winters exponential smoothing method on the passenger's number at Hasanudin Airport in 2009 to 2019 contained trend patterns and seasonal patterns, by first determining the initial values and smoothing parameters that could minimize forecasting errors.
Penerapan 3R atau reuse, reduce dan recycle sampah merupakan salah satu program terbaik dalam rangka pelestarian lingkungan hidup karena mengedepankan penanganan sampah dari sumbernya. Akan tetapi ternyata pengolahan sampah dengan sistem pemilahan sampah belum terlaksana secara terpadu. Sampah yang sudah dipilah sejak level rumah tangga belum tentu akan ditangani secara terpisah ketika telah sampai di tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA). Inilah yang terjadi pada kebanyakan TPA di Indonesia. Pemotongan alur distribusi sampah menuju TPA adalah cara yang efektif dan mempercepat pemrosesan sampah menjadi produk yang lebih bermanfaat. Cara efektif tersebut dapat direalisasikan melalui pembuatan eco-enzyme yang dapat diterapkan pada level rumah tangga. Dengan adanya pembuatan eco-enzyme maka akan mewujudkan eco-enzyme yang merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang sadar lingkungan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui 2 (dua) kegiatan utama: 1) Pelatihan pengolahan sampah melalui pembuatan eco-enzyme, 2) Focus Group Discussion pembentukan eco-community guru-guru Kimia Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMAN 5 Kota Bengkulu yang diikuti oleh 23 Orang Guru Kimia yang tergabunga dalam MGMP Kimia Kota Bengkulu. Para peserta kegiatan sangat antusias dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan, karena sampah organic yang selama ini dibiarkan begitu saja. Namun dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini, guru-guru kimia terutama Ibu-Ibu dapat memanfaatkan limbah tersebut dan menjadikannya eco-enzym. Manfaat yang bisa diperoleh dengan adanya eco enzyme yakni untuk mencuci pakaian, pembersih kamar mandi, hand sanitizer, pembersih lantai serta pembersih pestisida pada buah dan sayur.
Indonesia is one of the countries affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, where this situation greatly affects all aspects of life, including the field of education. The learning process is carried out online or in a network to minimize the spread of this virus, which makes learning effectiveness less than optimal, especially for material in the field of science. Selection of the right strategy and match the material is very necessary. The purpose of this study was to see the activities and learning outcomes of students using a blended learning-based discovery model on the subject of the Basic Laws of Chemistry. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 26 students of the Biology Education Study Program in the first semester of the 2021/2022 class. The research data were obtained through observation sheets and cognitive tests using a test instrument in the form of a posttest. Based on the data analysis, it shows that the activities and student learning outcomes have increased from 54.62% and 66.25 in the first cycle to 87.69% and 80.48 in the second cycle. The students' understanding of the learning materials has included very good criteria.
