The effects of domestic wastewater application on the translocation and accumulation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil and crops (rice, lettuce, and barley) were investigated by Wagner's pot experiment. In the soils and crops after domestic wastewater irrigation, high-molecular weight PAHs (5 to 6 ring) were not detected, but low-molecular weight PAHs (3 to 4 ring) were only detected at trace levels.
INTRODUCTION Most of Solanaceae crops are very sensitive to quinclorac. The most sensitive tomato does not grow normal when it is grown with the irrigation water or soil containing quiclorac at 10 and 0 .1ppb, respectively. Because of this property quinclorac is not used in Korea and Japan inspite of excelllence of the herbicide for the transplanted and direct-seeded rice. Developer of this herbicide introduces
It is important to customize the tidal stream turbines at given environmental conditions and demand powers. In order to design turbine rotors effectively, the dedicated software was composed of standard design module and customized module as practical turbine design tools and was constructed by a framework using Visual C++ Library. Proposed standard design process can offer the desired specifications and drawings from the pre-constructed performance data of turbine series. It may be useful for public in initial design stage as well as for preliminary energy farm design. Customized design process can analyze the turbine performance using BEMT and DMS code. Present paper deals with the brief analysis and design of both Horizontal Axis Turbine(HAT) and Vertical Axis Turbine(VAT).
