This report shows an unexpected toxicity decrease during atrazine photoelectrodegradation in the presence of NaCl. Atrazine is a pesticide classified as endocrine disruptor occurring in industrial effluents and agricultural wastewaters. We therefore studied the effects of the degradation method, electrochemical and electrochemical photo-assisted, and of the supporting electrolyte, NaCl and Na 2 SO 4 , on the residual toxicity of treated atrazine solutions. We also studied the toxicity of treated atrazine solutions using Artemia nauplii. Results show that at initial concentration of 20 mg L -1 , atrazine was completely removed in up to 30 min using 10 mA cm -2 electrolysis in NaCl medium, regardless of the electrochemical method used. The total organic carbon removal by the photo-assisted method was 82% with NaCl and 95% with Na 2 SO 4 . The solution toxicity increased during sole electrochemical treatment in NaCl, as expected. However, the toxicity unexpectedly decreased using the photo-assisted method. This finding is a major discovery because electrochemical treatment with NaCl usually leads to the formation of toxic chlorine-containing organic degradation by-products.
The evolution of e-commerce has contributed to the increase of the information available, making the task of analyzing the reviews manually almost impossible. Due to the amount of information, the creation of automatic methods of knowledge extraction and data mining has become necessary. Currently, to facilitate the analysis of reviews, some websites use filters such as votes by the utility or by stars. However, the use of these filters is not a good practice because they may exclude reviews that have recently been submitted to the voting process. One possible solution is to filter the reviews based on their textual descriptions, author information, and other measures. This chapter has a propose of approaches to estimate the importance of reviews about products and services using fuzzy systems and artificial neural networks. The results were encouraging, obtaining better results when detecting the most important reviews, achieving approximately 82% when f-measure is analyzed.
According to a press release emitted by INEGI on December 2nd, 2020, 93.2% of the companies in Mexico reported problems caused by the current pandemic, and more than a million businesses closed their doors permanently. In this context, the need to create technological tools that promote the development of activities of micro, small and medium businesses emerged. In this project, the development and creation of an application for a car wash business that allows clients and workers to book and manage appointments and the payment of services are presented. The development of this project was carried out with the framework SCRUM, using different tools for collaborative development such as ASP.Net for web applications, Visual Studio as Integrated Development Environment (IDE), a relational database system, and Model-View-Controller (MVC) as an architectural pattern. This module can be adapted to any kind of business with the same needs in the same field or other fields.
In this work, we prove that any two free boundary minimal hypersurfaces in the unit Euclidean ball have an intersection point in any half-ball. This is a strong version of the Frankel property proved by A. Fraser and M. Li [5]. As a consequence, we obtain the two-piece property for free boundary minimal hypersurfaces in the unit ball: every equatorial disk divides any compact minimal hypersurface with free boundary in the unit ball in two connected pieces.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
