Palavras-chave: Reciclagem de resíduos, composto orgânico e impactos ambientaisAbstract: Population growth in urban centers has worsened the problem of management of solid waste generated by residents, caused mainly by the volume of waste produced and the consumer lifestyle. In this context waste recycling, whether agricultural or industrial origin, originating from diverse supply chains, whose improper disposal can cause Oliveira et al., Revista Brasileira de Higiene e Sanidade Animal (v.6, n.2) p. 1 -16, jul -dez (2012) 2 negative impacts to the environment, such as waste from the fishing industry, presents itself as an important tool for minimize the deficit of organic fertilizers to ecological production systems. Thus, this study aimed to propose a sustainable alternative for disposal of fish waste generated from kiosks and beach huts in Fortaleza -Ceará, thus producing organic compost made from discarded material (viscera, head , spine and scales), thus adding, value to this waste, helping to break the dependence on chemical fertilizers by farmers and reducing the environmental impacts caused by its disposal in the city of Fortaleza. The chemical analysis of organic fertilizer from fish showed positive results, with rich Fe, Ca, P, K, Mg, Mn and N, claiming that this organic compound is an excellent alternative to get good yields in agriculture. The purpose of this work is to quantify lipid classes founded in fillets of Tilapia do Nilo, Oreochomis niloticus. The total lipids (TL) were fractionated by open column chromatography in neutral lipids (NL), glyceroglycolipids (GL) and glycerophospholipid (PL). Five lots of samples, each one containing four specimens, were obtained from retail stores in Fortaleza (Ceará State-Brazil) in sep, oct, nov and dec of 2011. The TL was averaged in 3.8% of muscle, on wet mass basis. The dominant lipid class was NL averaging at 74.5% in relation to the TL or 2.9g/100g of fillet. The GL and PL contributed on average with 1.5% (61mg/100g of fillet) and 23.1% (885mg/100g of fillet), respectively. The approximate composition had average of 76.0% moisture, 19.3% total protein, and 2.0% ash.
The objective of the study is to evaluate meat quality from Ile de France lamb fed diets supplemented with sunflower seeds and vitamin E. Thirty-two lamb weighing initially 15kg were housed in individual stalls and slaughtered when body weight reached 32kg. The treatments consisted of four experimental diets: D1) sugarcane + concentrate without sunflower seeds; D2) sugarcane + concentrate with sunflower seeds; D3) sugarcane + concentrate without sunflower seeds plus 1000mg vitamin E kg-1 diet dry matter (DM); and D4) sugarcane + concentrate with sunflower seeds and 1000mg vitamin E kg-1 diet DM. The parameters temperature, pH, color, cooking loss, shear force and water holding capacity were determined at maturation times of 0, 7 and 14 days on the Longissimus dorsi muscle. Qualitative characteristics of the meat were not affected by the sunflower seed combined with vitamin E diet; however, pH 24 hours was affected (P<0.05) by the sunflower seed combined with vitamin E diet. Cooking loss was not significantly influenced (P>0.05) by diet or maturation times. On the other hand, shear force and water holding capacity were significantly affected (P<0.05) by the treatments. The use of vitamin E resulted in lamb meat with higher water holding capacity. Maturation time influenced the parameters pH, color and shear force. Lamb meat that matured for 7 days displayed the lowest shear force.

Palavras-Chave: Boophilus microplus, piroplasmose, doença do carrapatoAbstract: In this bibliographical revision the different types of controls used in the eradication of the bovine cattle tick are presented that to develop itself, it needs to pass a phase of its life in the animals. It is important to know that the carrapato of the bovines is different of the cattle tick of the equines. In this text the common cattle tick of the bovines will be argued only (Boophilus microplus), mainly of the milk bovines, whose way of combat is different of that it is made for cut bovines. The importance of the cattle tick for the creation, is that they harm the animals when sucking the blood and to transmit the parasites that cause the Parasitic Sadness, Piroplasmose or Doença of the carrapato. Beyond these two factors, they cause other damages, as the irritation and the perforations in the leather.
