Azure Data Lake Store (ADLS) is a fully-managed, elastic, scalable, and secure file system that supports Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS) and Cosmos semantics. It is specifically designed and optimized for a broad spectrum of Big Data analytics that depend on a very high degree of parallel reads and writes, as well as collocation of compute and data for high bandwidth and low-latency access. It brings together key components and features of Microsoft's Cosmos file system-long used internally at Microsoft as the warehouse for data and analytics-and HDFS, and is a unified file storage solution for analytics on Azure. Internal and external workloads run on this unified platform. Distinguishing aspects of ADLS include its support for multiple storage tiers, exabyte scale, and comprehensive security and data sharing. We discuss ADLS architecture, design points, and performance.
BACKGROUNDDermatophytes are filamentous keratinophilic fungi. Trichophyton rubrum is a prevalent infectious agent in tineas and other skin diseases. Drug therapy is considered to be limited in the treatment of such infections, mainly due to low accessibility of the drug to the tissue attacked and development of antifungal resistance in these microorganisms. In this context, Photodynamic Therapy is presented as an alternative.OBJECTIVEEvaluate, in vitro, the photodynamic activity of four derivatives of Protoporphyrin IX by irradiation with LED 400 nm in T. rubrum.METHODAssays were subjected to irradiation by twelve cycles of ten minutes at five minute intervals.RESULTPhotodynamic action appeared as effective with total elimination of UFCs from the second irradiation cycle.CONCLUSIONStudies show that the photodynamic activity on Trichophyton rubrum relates to a suitable embodiment of the photosensitizer, which can be maximized by functionalization of peripheral groups of the porphyrinic ring.
BackgroundPhotodynamic therapy is a therapeutic modality that has consolidated its activity in the photooxidation of organic matter, which arises from the activity of reactive oxygen species.ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of red laser 660nm with the photosensitizer methylene blue on Propionibacterium acnes in vitro.MethodThe experimental design was distributed into four groups (1 - control group without the application of light and without photosensitizer, 2 - application of light, 3 - methylene blue without light, and 4 - methylene blue with light). Tests were subjected to red laser irradiation 660nm by four cycles of 5 minutes at 3-minute intervals.ResultsIt was evidenced the prominence of the fourth cycle (20 minutes) groups 2, 3 and 4.Study limitationsDespite the favorable results, the laser irradiation time photosensitizer associated with methylene blue were not sufficient to to completely inhibit the proliferation of bacteria.ConclusionFurther studies in vitro are recommended to enable the clinical application of this photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy.

Dados extraídos do SINAN.
Introduction: Lymphedema is characterized by abnormal accumulation of macromolecules and soft tissue fluids. Bioimpedance is a method that measures intra-and extracellular volumes by body segment, and has been currently used in lymphedema. Objective: The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review of the clinical-therapeutic importance of bioimpedance in patients with lymphedema. Methodology: The present work consisted of a literature review. The systematic review made it possible to know and transcribe important subjects on clinical and therapeutic bioimpedance in patients with lymphedema. The work was carried out from September 2018 to April 2019, following the rules of systematic review-PRISMA. Results: It was found that the variation of the interstitial fluid can be measured by bioimpedance , before and after intensive treatment of lymphedema. Bioimpedance is a noninvasive method used to evaluate interstitial fluids, including indications for lymphedema. Conclusion: Bioimpedance is a suggested method to evaluate clinical and therapeutic follow-up in patients with lymphedema.
